MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 15:55:17

Charleygirl5 Thu 17-Jan-19 16:00:49

OMG that is the worst I have seen I think.

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 16:02:10

Me too, and I've seen some corkers lately whilst job searching.

Charleygirl5 Thu 17-Jan-19 16:09:16

Please tell me that was not written by a teacher!

Bathsheba Thu 17-Jan-19 16:11:54

Oh good Lord, there's no hope, is there? sad

GrannyGravy13 Thu 17-Jan-19 16:27:19

MissA is the school your side of the “bridge” or my side?

Was it written by a teacher?

Charleygirl5 Thu 17-Jan-19 16:42:47

Would it now be bring, brung, brunging?

Scribbles Thu 17-Jan-19 16:47:38

Brunging? Nah, everyone nose it's brunged, innit?

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 17:05:38

Its on my side of the bridge, grannygravy.
No wonder we have a bad reputation!

GrannyGravy13 Thu 17-Jan-19 17:10:21

Oh dear ???

Nonnie Thu 17-Jan-19 17:12:07

Sadly I'm not surprised sad

I expect highly paid news people and those being interviewed as experts to enunciate properly and know when something is singular or plural but they don't. No problem with accents, enjoy those.

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 17:12:25

You'd think they'd know that past tense is brang, wouldn't you?

Nonnie Thu 17-Jan-19 17:15:00

MissA grin

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 17:16:16

Here it is, in all its glory!

If your child has accidentally brung home a GREY AND NAVY MCKENZIE COAT with a FLEECE LINED HOOD please return it to the school office tomorrow morning. Thank y

ninathenana Thu 17-Jan-19 17:16:26

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 17:41:22

Oops! And the last part of it now..

Lily65 Thu 17-Jan-19 17:53:15

surely it should be broughted?

Willow10 Thu 17-Jan-19 18:47:36

Misadventure - you ain't told us wever or not it was your child wot bringed it. grin

Jalima1108 Thu 17-Jan-19 19:17:48

brung
It's dialect according to the OED
bring, brang, brung

which means it is not correct English grammar!!

I prefer 'bringed' myself grin

Charleygirl5 Thu 17-Jan-19 21:19:39

Jalima I think I do also. I would still like to know who wrote it.

MissAdventure Thu 17-Jan-19 21:22:03

Its some sort of automated system, but obviously has that 'human' touch.

Ohmother Thu 17-Jan-19 21:24:00

If your kid has nicked a coat ...grin
