Since when is ‘lotion’ a verb?

I hope I’m not the only grumpy old pedant to be irritated by a current TV ad (Dove?) telling us the product is for those areas ‘…that you don’t lotion every day’.

It reminds me of the Dominic West adverts for Nationwide where he says 'Muffin me".

That ad makes me smile every time. I also fancy Dominic West

Though must say that in all my 70 odd years of avid reading of everything from the Famous Five to Middlemarch and cornflakes packets, I’ve never once seen it as a verb!
