Afternoon all.
With 3 cats I am used to putting up with bits of fluff bowling across the laminate floor like tumble weed in a western, but it is getting beyond a joke.
Maurice (black velvet smoking jacket, smart yet subtle and understated white cravat, white socks and gloves) could moult for Britain, but fortunately loves to be brushed (as long as you do it really firmly, he goes all sort of splat cat on the floor and rolls over to have his other side done) and has the sort of fur that actually does come off on the brush in vast quantities, so no great problem.
Lily (white, long hair, sort of feline equivalent of a princess party dress with frilly knickers) moults reasonably lightly , unless I am wearing my smart black trousers which would seem to have an inbuilt fur magnet. Not totally averse to brushing, but very little fluff seems to adhere to the brush. Balls of tumbling fur easily spotted and picked up.
But the bane of my life fur wise is:
Digby (camouflage issue kit for jungle/forest exercises) has very fine dense fur which distributes in a fashion partly reminiscent of nuclear fall out. It gets everywhere ! A moment ago he was on the desk in front of me and a few gentle strokes were enough to send small clouds of it billowing up my nose and all over the keyboard. I have to put the attachment on the hoover and go over the duvet cover on a regular basis. (yes, I know that he shouldn't be allowed on the bed)
Despite my best efforts, he definitely does NOT like being brushed.
Does anyone think that this might be worth a try?
Has anyone tried one? If so, which is best? Is there anyting else I could try?
Thanks!
