If Hattie came and woke me up to tell me there was someone in the street talking she would be [literally] in the doghouse. I think people with bad intentions make a habit of being as quiet as possible...

Perhaps they had turned out of a nightclub. Or were waiting for a coach to pick them up for a trip.

I'm another who thought this was about your dog doing it's toilet! Quite wrong because obviously you wouldn't start a thread about something quite as trivial as that Frank!

The idea has a certain appeal I think. And we have had equally trivial threads on many subjects I suppose.

Of course not BAnanas!! We could have a whole thread devoted to our dogs' lavatorial habits, not to mention DGC's nappies - and even our own digestive idiosyncrasies!

It could be people plotting to harangue Frank about the house.

Digby went out, then came in and used the litter tray, completely wrecking it in the process. He does like to make sure things are properly buried.

I don't have a pet. It didn't wake me up in the night, either to bark or to have an accident on the carpet. I did hear DH getting up at 5 though to go to work. Does that count?

A friend's husband was once staying with his aunt and woke up in the night , having had a pint or two the night before, to spend a penny in the en suite. Halfway through he remembered her guest bedroom didn't have an en suite, but did have a fitted wardrobe

(Of course it it had been a real cat in a real box the pesky think would have been making a terrible caterwauling noise, and there would have been no doubt in anyones hypothetical mind that there was a cat in the box)

Well I've never heard of Schrodingers dog? I suppose he had a reason why it had to be car rather than a dog or elephant
