I would like a stripey ginger cat, and would call it Marmalade [after the heuchera plants that I like.]

Thanks! I will - he needs a wash and brush up at the moment he is looking so bedraggled.

number you could also post a pic of your cat? Sadly we don't have any pets now, but hope to get another cat in a year or so.

What?! That's outrageous whitewave to charge that. Cairns are lovely dogs, a friend use to have one called Noodles, it did lots of tricks. Why don't you post a pic of him [when he is better.] smile

So glad she is eating again number she obviously enjoys the finer things in life.

Yes, she loves Sheba, but won`t eat meaty catfoods, only fish. But she`ll eat meat and poultry that we`ve cooked.

Yes tiggy I have often wondered the same thing.
Glad she is ok number... she knows what she likes then!

I am so pleased number that she is eating again and everything is ok. I was quite worried about her as it seemed just the same as my old cat. I wish someone could explain why kids and animals only decide to be ill at weekends and bank holidays !

We opened a box of her favourite food this morning, and wonder of wonders, she ate 2 meals of it. Tonight I reverted to trying to finish the previous box of pouches, but she pointedly looked at it, glared at me, then walked away! At least we know that she`s OK.

Hope she is eating again soon number pets can be such a worry.I wish the hot weather affected my appetite, but sadly not.

If she seems well I would think that she is - if not -off to the V -E- T! Don't say it too loudly!!!

As she's a young cat I would worm her. This can often solve the problem.

We've got 4 cats aged between 3 and 18 years and since the weather warmed up three of them have hardly eaten anything. They've gone of all their favourites although they all seem quite well. The only one who is eating normally is the rescue one who always stuffs himself with anything. I'm presuming it's just the weather.

She`s not an old cat, she`s approximately 3 years old, she was a rescue cat, so don`t know exactly. She`s eaten about a quarter of a Felix pouch tonight, but turned her nose up at chippy shop fish, which she normally goes mad for. Will see how she does over the weekend.

I do not wish to worry you but I too had a cat that went off his food and like rosesarered cat he had kidney problems. In his case it was a kidney tumour. He needs to see the vet.

glammanana Fri 13-Jun-14 16:44:34

number she may be playing the "fussy princess" game to get the Webbox treats every time or suffering a wee bit because of the warmer weather,as long as she is eating I think you can wait over the week-end then have a chat with your vet.

rosesarered Fri 13-Jun-14 16:00:02

Is she an old cat? Our old moggy used to do this and the vet said that with kidney problems, [old cats usually get this] food starts to taste of urine to them so they sniff or have a mouthful and then leave it.If she is not an old cat then it could just be the hot weather?

numberplease Fri 13-Jun-14 15:54:39

It`s probably due to the warmer weather, but our cat Mia has hardly eaten anything for days now, she sniffs at her food, then goes outside. We`ve tried chopping and changing the food, all brands that she`s eaten before, but to no avail. She will, however, eat Webbox treats, so is she playing us along? If no joy after the weekend, I`m thinking of taking her to see the vet, just in case.
