Dogs and fireworks

Bump

Thanks for the bump when I am going down the "you tube" route with Poppy,we where unsure as to how she would react with her not being with us last year,Barney never bothered at all with any sudden loud noise but she does seem to be a bit nervous shaking slightly even if she is sitting close to us and being given reassurance,now this is very strange but she seems far more relaxed when she has one of her jumpers on and feels cocooned in the jumper I wonder if she just feels more secure when she wears one ?.

Because dogs hear things diffetently it can be hard to de-sensitize them.Grace is unfazed by (loud) clay pigeon shooting not far from us, uneasy at fireworks in the distance but distraught at thunder. IMO animals and fireworks do not go together and I shsll be glad when they are over!

I just wish that those awful noisy one's that sound like bomb's being exploded where banned all to-gether there is no justified need for them in my opinion,organised displays yes I am fully in support of them if they are marshalled correctly and animals not frightened out of their wits.
