Just saw a fab post on my local FB sales pages...someone was looking for a replacement trampoline for the dog!! Conjured up wonderful pictures of the dog happily jumping around. Anyone else's pets have unusual habits?

My cat (long departed to cat heaven) used to love playing with and then eating pea pods. I think that she thought they were mice as she used to stalk and then pounce on them.

One day my dad came to visit and sat in her favourite chair, she stalked into the room, gave him a dirty look and then gave his leg a whack with her paw. She hit him so hard that we could all hear it. The look on dads face was priceless.

That is strange, Lapwing, one of my cats likes runner beans. I can't slice them without her hooking one from the pile to play with. She is also very choosy about her drinking water, she only takes it from my bath (when I am in it) or portable bidet, and is very vocal when requesting her 'staff' to fill them!
Both cats love the pet fishing app. on my tablet. I did start a thread about it, but had no response.

One of our dogs had a gift of shelling peanuts, ate the nuts and left the empty shell. Our other dog tried to copy this but couldn't get the hang of it and spat the lot out in disgust.

Must try the pea pod/runner beans with our cat.

Ours likes best a piece of smelly old rubbish she digs up from somewhere.
We get a lot of pieces of animal bones around here, because the locals go hunting for deer and wild boar.
Nuts - our last dog used to like walnuts.

My little cat loves the bath mat. It's one of those with a long pile and she rolls round on it and digs it ip in absolute ecstasy!

I`ve just had some ice cream (Walls peppermint Viennetta), and when I`d finished, without thinking, I placed the bowl on the floor beside me. Mia came straight over, sniffed at the dish, then sat back looking at me as if to say "you know I don`t like that!"

Our previous cat used to love playing with pieces of cooked pasta that fell onto the kitchen floor. She used to carry them all over and stalk them.

The cat we have now just likes to eat!

My aunt's spaniel was utterly trustworthy with food. You could leave a rib of beef on the table and he wouldn't go near it, but he couldn't resist raw carrots. They were the only things he ever stole. Whereas my Maximum Dog stole anything he could get, including a mince pie out of the hand of a Christmas morning guest.

My late lamented Dingbat did enjoy a pawful of cold tea if he had a chance to access the cup.

I had a cat who would knock an egg off the wooden rack, roll it to the edge of the work top and give it a little nudge. Cat would then lap up the contents of the smashed egg leaving only the shell as evidence.

I too had a dog that stole carrots Absent he used to hold them between his paws and crunch them up as if they were a bone. One day down the allotment he discovered how they grew and if we didn't watch him very carefully he'd sneak off and dig up a few for a snack!

Our fat cat likes to lick our (live) rabbit.
(Rabbit enjoys it!)

When I was young, we had a cat that loved swiss roll. When the grocer's order was left on the back doorstep, he would sit and wait for Mum to come home and cut a slice for him. He lived to a ripe old age. Parents' labrador would nick a cauliflower from the garden and eat it on the spot.
