losing a pet

Lost our beloved collie this week.He was only 11 and one moment he was running around like a 2 year old and then he got very sick very quickly. The GC called him Nanny Rigley because he herded them , licked them and stole food out of their hands. We always said he would be our last dog due to our ages but ............ When are you too old to own a dog?

Bless her wondered how she was from my Nellie days...thank you all for your kind words it has been a rapid decline.Just 36 hours,she has many health problems and her major organs are all affected and closing down,fortunately she hasn't suffered before last few hours,always a happy waggy girl,with the sweetest nature

sincere condolences downtoearth, the loss of a much loved canine companion is a blow. the last loving thing we can do is to make the tough decision and hold a paw as you did x

thank you all for your kind words....just cleaning cushions and rugs,and carpet as she could be a bit whiffy at times,but it hurts and feels like I am trying to get rid of all trace of her...we still have food,lead,toys etc to deal with..but having been there you all know and understand how I feel,and how to give me comfort and I am so grateful for your comments xxxx
