Cats can be so disloyal!!

Our neighbours had a cat which disappeared for several months then strolled in again one day as if she had never left.
A little while later a person from way up the road stormed down demanding to have 'her' cat back. Neighbour asked how long it had been 'her cat'. 'Eight months' she replied. 'Well, it was our cat for four years before that'.

Ah, that's good.

I'm so pleased to hear it! Phew. What I didn't say before was that my cat Teenie (who was huge!) went out one night and was never seen again. It was just awful. I was her special person (she hated DH). It was the not knowing that was the worst. I did meet a lot of kind helpful people during my long fruitless searches . That helped.

Excellent news, honeypot - parr (or should that be purr!) for the course with cats - we've never had one yet that was a stay at home! The cat I referred to in my earlier post was always going awol, and one of my son's cats does too! Doesn't stop you worrying though !

Great news! In my experience they stroll home just after you have put up posters and leafleted the neighbourhood!
My Bengal cat, Saffron went missing for a week a few years ago. Since then she has been going on her 'holidays' about once a month, always returning well fed. She was once seen in the next village about 3 miles away across fields, so guess she goes there. Although she always returns, I am still apprehensive all the time she is away.
