no elegran we have lots of magpies in the garden playing they don't sound like that we do have trees around us though I shall keep looking thank you

I agree with shysal. The green woodpecker's yaffle sounds like a laugh. Look out for it, it's a lovely bird.

The green woodpecker makes a laughing sound. Do you remember Professor Yaffle from Bagpuss? The spotted woodpeckers make a different sound.

I know I am probably on the wrong site,but does anyone know what bird makes the noise like its laughing I have been on british birds because I did think it was a woodpecker but its site bird sounds do not sound like what I hear on and off all day starting about 5am
