Or hoomans owned by cats grin
I've never had the problem with previous cats but Bertie loves to be up high, he will jump up on top of the wall unit (6ft) in the dining room or the mantlepiece which both have ornaments on. We have had to put the plastic spikes on the garden fence as he was jumping from there onto nextdoors conservatory roof and more than once nearly slid off.
I know this is a natural instinct but has anyone found a way to deter their cat from leaping up indoors ? We do say a firm 'no' and clap our hands and he will jump down.

I love my bengals shysal They've introduced me to all my neighbours (Ah, so that's where he lives!) & given me new phrases to say, like "Oh dear, it seems my cat has embarrassed me again".

Er......this is the big guy in his favourite spot-no curtains or chandeliers for him! Can be a bit unnerving when he suddenly lands with a less than graceful thud behind you!

Katek, he looks a bit like my Bugsie. No high life for him, this fence is about his limit, being 12 and a big fat lazy lump!

Bugsie. Sorry, forgot to add to previous post.

Tara my cat is a slimmer version of Bugsie. She is around 13, thinks and acts as though she is 3. I am technologically challenged so cannot put photos on GN.

Gorgeous boy. That`s a pity Charleygirl, I`d love to see a pic of the famous Tara!

He's also 12 but ignores us when we suggest he should stay nearer ground level! This is him on the summer house roof and the other pic is his small partner in crime relaxing on my cushion!
