I am to have a puppy. All arranged by younger daughter , son in law and son in law who isn't ? Please be happy for Lottie and for me, we are lonely and the home needs joy .

And my physiotherapist agrees

All the best with your new pup Anniebach. I've never been a dog owner DH always had working dogs and missed them after coming to stay with me so as a solution we became hosts for Barking Mad a home boarding company. We've had a dozen doggie guests on their hols with us in six months and I have loved what they have brought to our lives I enjoyed them perhaps even more than DH

I’m in the process of trying to get a rescue dog from a Rescue Centre in Grand Canaria. It’s a reputable centre run by English people and the little dog I’m after was dumped at the pound so neglected and with overgrown fur that one eye has had to be removed. He’s about 2 and a scraggy little thing that could be a Shih Tzu cross. I’m so hoping I can get him and offer him his ‘forever home’ and make up for the way humans have treated him in the past.

Our Westie girl is Millie Moo.
She found a non-snow area to pee on then has a wander around in the snow up to her tummy. So funny.

Anniebach Tue 12-Dec-17 13:50:00

Thank you GrauntyHelen, they do bring so much don't they ?

Bez, Milly is on my list of names , your Milly will have a cold tummy ?

How exciting to be welcoming a new puppy! If you want a Scottish name, there's always Brodie. Or Whisky. grin

Such fun ahead . We have a shih tzu. 18 months old. We got him from a breeder on champdogs and checked everything was true saw the pup at 4 weeks and picked him up at 8. I have no regrets. He is so easy going loves children and other dogs. Wants to be with us all the time which is the only downside.

Can't wait to hear all about your new puppy when she arrives annie. Do you know when it will be yet?

Anniebach Tue 12-Dec-17 20:03:40

Crafting, waiting for the roads to clear, the breeder's drive is still snowed up and we have had a weather warning of severe black ice in our area tomorrow. So waiting for a thaw, my brother will then go down , see the puppy with her brother and parents and if all is as it should be he will bring her home to Lottie and me ?

So pleased you are getting another little dog, after all the sadness of the past few weeks she will lift your spirits.
I had my Missie foist on me (I must admit a little unwillingly) after several dog-less years and despite my misgivings, and the fact that she can be a real pain in the arse as she refuses to 'go' in the garden , she fills the rather lonely evenings and is a huge comfort when we snuggle up in bed. Having to walk her twice a day has resulted in me losing a stone in weight since April, so she's helped me rather more than I've helped her.
Hope the snow goes soon. I'm sure you can't wait for your brother to bring your new canine companion to her new home

Ooooh. Is she coming today annie? Can we have a photo? Is her bed ready? Have you told lottie? I am so excited for you (as you might have guessed tchblush)

Anniebach Wed 13-Dec-17 13:47:25

Bed ready, told Lottie?, granddaughter 2 is cuddling her in the car.

Granddaughter2 is referring to her as Carrie, which brings up memories of Stephen Kings - Carrie White, gulp?

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 13-Dec-17 14:16:31

So exciting for you all Annie tchgrin Looking forward to seeing a photo soon.

SueDonim Wed 13-Dec-17 14:18:38

Ooh! Hot water bottle warming her bed? I'm looking forward to a photo!

Jalima1108 Wed 13-Dec-17 17:46:00

Ooh, I am excited - I'll have to enjoy hearing about Cariad as we decided not to have another dog ourselves.

Anniebach Wed 13-Dec-17 18:51:44

She is not a Cariad , I mean she is lovely but name isn't right , sorry

Auntieflo Wed 13-Dec-17 19:22:10

Annie, once you see her, and hold her in your arms, you will know her name. So glad for you that she is on the way home.

NfkDumpling Wed 13-Dec-17 19:39:09

Is she home yet?
