What shall we call our new kitten?

I know we helped nina (or not!) so I am hoping you can help us as we are stuck for a name for the kitten we are keeping. She was born in June

I will continue to try taking a photo of her but she is a short haired, dark tabby with white bib and wellies.

We have two other cats - an all black male born during the Rugby World Cup - his name is Kiwi.

The kitten's Mum was born in May and is, therefore, called Maisie.

Please help - inspiration has dried up in the Lester household.

My fats have been called many things but none of the above! CATS!

Chewbacca Fri 03-Aug-18 14:37:38

Over the years my fats have beencalled:
Females: Violet (she was very shy, ie Shrinking Violet), Ursula, Poppy, Florence, Petunia, Hermione, Prue & Virginia (Ginny).
Males: Dylan, Hector, Leicester, Stanley, Jaffa, Malcolm, Arthur, Arnoldo & Phillipo

All cats deserve a noble name! ?

I knew a girl who had a cat called Mrs Thompson. Too long a story to go into now. We had a tomcat called Tinker, and my cousin had a female called Fluffy just because she was!
What about a June flower name;
Poppy, peony, sweet pea, lily etc.

I'd go with phoenix and choose Juno!

my daughters cats are called after cars ,the new kitten is Mini ,she went through a booze phase too, with Bailey and Brandy and Murphy (stout) we had a guinness and a Shlitz on the same theme ...but they were dogs.Molly and Emma are my neighbours cats and my GD has 3 Nico,Rueben and Theodore ..so really anything works.

Junia, Juniper, Jazzy, Jellybean, Jemima.
Juggernaut our first dog was also called 'Bootsie' after the same TV character.

mumofmadboys Fri 03-Aug-18 13:58:16

Meredith or Merry for short!

phoenix Fri 03-Aug-18 13:48:25

Dido?

kittylester Fri 03-Aug-18 13:44:06

Missy was something we came up with paddyann but decided it was too like Maisie.

Dh does call her Baby but calls all the granddaughters that when he can't get to their name quickly enough!!!

She has wellies, juggernaut, but we've had one called Wellie and one called Boots.

I suggested Dottie or Dorothy but we have a dgd called Lottie.

It's a problem!

Many years ago, when asked the name of their new kitten, the two maiden ladies who lived next door said to my mother , 'Oh, we just call her our little pussy.'
It was years before I understood why she had great difficulty in not laughing, and why my father did burst out laughing when she told him.

tiredoldwoman Fri 03-Aug-18 13:39:00

I loved Juney-Purr , Phoenix . That was so clever !!

paddyann Fri 03-Aug-18 13:36:17

call her Baby ,a white bib and socks ...what else would she be called .lol
We lost our 2 year old cat 2 weeks ago ,,he was hit by a car.He did have a name but was affectionately known as "The Beast " because of his biting habit ...we miss him.Enjoy your Missy whatever you call her .

Juggernaut Fri 03-Aug-18 13:32:22

We had a cat years ago who, due to having four white wellies was called 'Bootsie' a la 'Bootsie and Snudge'!
We also had one who was the image of Sylvester, and was then discovered to be female, so became Sylvie!
My DGM had a cat called Pyewacket, as in a witches familiar. With the best will in the world, I have to admit that DGM could be a tad on the vicious side, so it was a singularly appropriate name!
Are her wellies tall Kitty, or is she a 'socks'?

phoenix Fri 03-Aug-18 13:30:14

Juno?

phoenix Fri 03-Aug-18 13:28:57

Meg
Dotty
Ceefur wink
Juniper (or Juney Purr)
Hilda (but don't tell Peggy in The Archers!)
Rosie (because roses bloom in June?)

kittylester Fri 03-Aug-18 13:25:30

You're forgiven phoenix.

First time we sexrd these kittens we though we had two girls and a boy. Now, we are fairly sure we have 1 girl and two boys! blush

nonnasusie Fri 03-Aug-18 13:20:26

We found 2 tiny abandoned kittens and adopted them. They are so small that it's difficult to sex them so they are Jack and Joe ( step daughter thinks they are male) but they may be Jackie and Josie!??

phoenix Fri 03-Aug-18 13:19:26

Sorry kitty my post didn't help much did it blush
