I am no longer a dog owner, but would love to see photos of yours, past and present. Why should the cats have all the limelight?
This is the Vizsla that DD has reserved for next month.

Thank you all you people who love your dogs. You restore my trust in human nature.

Sorry, I don't know how to put photos on Gransnet so I can;t show my lurcher. My sons could do it for me but are not allowed in.

Thank you @shysal. I have a lot of learning to do. It is a big site to work my way around but there's plenty of time. It would be different if I were posting a photo of myself. That is a no go.

Welcome to GN, Cosmicamel. Congratulations on managing to post a photo on your first time. You must be more technosavvy than I was smile. Molly is so gorgeous, as are all the other pooches.

My first posting. Our gorgeous 8 year old choccy lab Molly. She has us well trained and is just too adorable.

I hesitated to look at this thread as I long for a dog but am not allowed under the rules of this housing contract.

I could have a cat but I am not a cat person (though I did find the photo on that thread very sweet)

I'm glad I did look here though because despite the tears they caused, they are all adorable and I envy you.

Such enjoyable photos. Thanks everyone. Here is my constant companion, Molly, rescued from a euthanasia centre in California.

Fabulous photos of fabulous dogs Here's my boy! He is loving all the extra attention (of me being able to spend hours fussing him lol) Only one walk a day but he is happy enough and is the only company I need at the moment anyway! I do think us dog owners are luckier than some ha ha ha. Dogs will ALWAYS lift your spirits.

These are my cuties curled up together not a care in the world

fatgran57 Thu 26-Mar-20 07:16:58

This is my late Mum's old dog, we promised her we would look after Mr Cooper when she died and he lived out his days with us.

I just realised when I enlarged the photo that what I took to be part of the pattern of the rug is in fact our little cat tucked up behind Mr Cooper and hogging the heatersmile

They never once acknowledged the existence of the other but used to sit together back to back, even out on the footpath.

They looked like David and Goliath as Mr Cooper was very large and she was very small.

When he died she looked everywhere for him, it was heartbreaking.

Aw, all gorgeous, I too love some of the names! Kalu our first dog was called Ben! And like yours, was a big lad. Emmy does look very similar to our Sam doesn't she? And like your Emmy did with you, Sam follows me everywhere and even sits on my knee, the big lump! Having had both a male and female dog, I have to say I think females are easier, much more loyal and not as stubborn!
