To follow on from all my other animal threads hmm

He said it keeps climbing through his bedroom window whilst he is either awake or asleep (he is nocturnal) So he decided to shut his bedroom window to stop it happening.

He said the last two nights the security light facing his bedroom keeps going off and the cat is sitting in the light staring at him through the window grin

I think I might write a children's book...

My children's school had a cat that considered himself a student. He would come running when the bell rang and let himself in, then wander the halls deciding which class to visit for the day. The children loved it, and he was only shooed away on occasion. I don't know if they ever sorted out where he lived in the neighbourhood.

JaneJudge perhaps the cat’s Kathy, playing up to your son’s Heathcliff?

Dh can’t stand cats. I like them. Next door neighbours have a massive marmalade cat that can make his way out their bedroom window and onto our shed roof which catches the sun. He loves to bask there and dh swears that when he is in the garden the cat stares at him with an evil look. I think dh finds the cat particularly intimidating because of its size. And dh is not easily intimidated, he fought in the forces.

In one of the villages along the camino de Santiago in Spain (the French route) the local doctor put his cat out every evening before he went to bed.

The cat marched into the hostel for pilgrims, looked around, chose a likely looking pilgrim and lay down beside him or her in the bunk and slept there all night.

He did this every night of the pilgrim season.
