I used to buy large bags of kibble but then read that it should be used up within a few weeks once opened and my dog only has a small amount each day. I’m wondering if that’s the reason why she gets a bad tum every now and again. So I’ve started buying smaller bags and putting it in airtight containers once opened. The Butchers tripe she has has gone up by @ 20%.

The other thing I have noticed, with Whiskas cat food pouches, is that most now weigh 85 grams, instead of the previous 100 grams.

Yes. My dog has Forthglade meat, and it’s increased from £8 per box to £9.75 per box in the last few months.

Yes. Only recently the boxes of 12 pouches of cat food have risen from £3.50 to £5 in Asda. (Sold out on Zooplus where they are marginally cheaper for a mixed selection of which they won't eat the beef!)

I shall find out tomorrow whether my oldest cat's thyroid meds have gone up. They were already a 3 figure sum for 100 tablets.

The Co-op brand kibble I get for my dogs - it suits their slightly manky digestive systems - has gone up, I think, from £3.75 to £4.50 in the year since I moved here. That's £38 a year.

On the other hand, just had the old boy to the vet for a returned water infection, and there's only a couple of quid difference since June.

Chappie has gone up to £9 for six small tins

Try Zooplus for dog food, I think their prices are good

Yes I have and the price of my dogs meds have also increased a lot too. My local shelter is bursting at the seams with animals as so many giving their pets up saying they can't afford the food and vet bills for them anymore. So sad.

Mazgg

I buy 12kg sacks of dried dog food. This has usually been £47 from Amazon but I noticed this time it has gone up to £57, a price increase of £10 in 5 weeks. As it is British made Brexit can not be blamed.
Has anyone else noticed a significant increase in price of pet food.

Yes-but the firm I buy it from on repeat, sent me a message to say the price per order was going up and if I wanted to put an extra order in at the lower price, act now. So I did.
The increase in price for 2 months supply turned out to be £4.
