I’ll start with a picture of Freja, one of our adored twin pussy cats we adopted from the cat protection society here. One has a black nose and one a white nose.

My golden princess Orla.

Meet Callie - we think she's perhaps a Ragdoll cross, her tail is magnificent!

Dinahmo Wed 26-Jun-24 09:36:40

Lovely pics and so good to see so many rescues.

Really sorry, but the first time I saw the title to this thread I read it as 'I would love to see some pies of our pets ' and I can't not see it now.
Anyone remember Theatre of Blood (Vincent Price) , a revenge murder mystery with a Shakespearean theme when Robert Morley was served a dish containing his two pampered pooches?

This is Oscar, a big, gentle lump of loveability. He's a real lap cat and will try to "herd" me into a chair if he wants lap time 😄.

All the photos of your cats and dogs are just so beautiful and I'm sure they bring us all so much love and comfort, especially those of us who live alone.
So sorry about Duncan, wwm2 he was such a sweet character. You must miss him so much, I enjoy reading about his memorial garden.

PS it’s a feather duster .

These pets are all gorgeous and melt our hearts don’t they?
Such good company too.

One of my kittens has grown an extra tail in the night it seems 😃

This is Ivor, our rescue Lurcher. He is extremely naughty but gets away with far more than he should as he is sweet and funny.

This is my little guy, Oscar. The vet gave him 6 to 8 weeks left on this planet back in January but we're still hanging in there. He's 13 and I love him to pieces. <3

Macadia Wed 26-Jun-24 04:30:47

Everyone needs hugs.

I dont have any pets. Here is my nephews ginger cat Buddy. He is a "proper" ginger cat with no white bits and all the stripes on his legs match up when he is standing.

Don’t worryFreshair I live in the wilds in another country! If they found us, they’d be very lucky. Our little darlings haven’t yet learned to talk and they don’t answer to their real names. Thanks for your concern, though - much appreciated.

Thank you to all of you posting pictures of your beautiful pets.
I don’t have a pet myself, however, I love seeing these pictures and I realise just how important these gorgeous animals are to their owners, so thank you again.

Mitzi my little bundle of joy.

Redrobin51 Tue 25-Jun-24 21:36:43

My little rescue helping me watch the footie. Still nervous with some people and some dogs but is a funny, loving girl who makes us laugh every day.

Grandtante. I've given up with the kitchen table too.

joannapiano Tue 25-Jun-24 19:11:35

We planted our little rescue cat so that she would grow a bit bigger!

Our cats are not allowed on the bed.

We have heard that one before!

I still enforce the no cats on the table or the kitchen counter rule, but have given up on the bed.

Tigger - marmelade and white. He bounces, hence his name and Trubel named after Theresa Rubel in the TV series Grimm, a girl who knows her own mind. She has extra toes and claws on her two front paws and she doesn't much care if it snows or thaws, for she has seven toesies on both front paws. (With apologies to Mr. Milne and Winnie-the-Pooh.)

Actually, she has thumbs! They are 2 years old now, and their mothers were sisters - Daddy is said to be the same in both cases, although I have my doubts about that. He certainly cannot deny Tigger, but Trubel? But I suppose a sandy cat and a grey stripey one can produce a black kitten with a very little white .

They are accomplished tree climbers and hunters. Tigger presented me with a rat yesterday - mercifully dead and laid out on the door-mat and Trubel with the garden's smallest mouse. I don't know where Tig found that rat - certainly not in my garden!

This is Peggy. She’s 14 now but still fit and lively and a great companion. We’ve been through a lot together.

Thisismyname1953 Tue 25-Jun-24 15:11:18

This is Daisy May . She’s a lockdown puppy . She’s very nervous and very well behaved .

Cats (Astrid and Freja) watching ‘Red Dog’ on the telly. They are both telly addicts, worse than us. Never had cats who watched telly before!

My Phoebe's a telly addict too. She particularly enjoys wildlife programmes, and once watched a one hour documentary on grizzly bears.
