I lost my beautiful one eyed little girl two years ago to an aggressive cancer. Never a day goes by where I don’t think of her. She was my life, my confidante and total daily companion. She kept me going in dark times, can honestly say my health has deteriorated so much since since she’s been gone ie struggling to get out of bed before lunchtime, barely walking because I’ve gotten out of practice and now legs are stiff and unsteady. Non pet people don’t understand just how much our pets help us through life.

This is Kitteh. She's 8 years old. She's from Costa Rica. I lived there for three years. One of my friends found her in a ditch when she was a tiny kitten. I adopted her and brought her with me to the UK when I came home.

Oh, I do love seeing all your gorgeous pet pictures especially all those darlings who have been rescued. I miss my dogs so much now they have gone but am enjoying looking after my son's dog for a few days.

The girls! Have never had a Shih Tzu till this one, she is a rescue dog and she is really different, but very fun!

I know this is probably cheating, but he does look like the little dog we used to have.

My whippet pup, 9 weeks. I lost my Bedlington Whippet 5 weeks ago. She’d been with me for over 14 years, the hole she left was enormous and I needed some joy in my life. Little Olive has definitely brought that joy❤️

I would post one of Baby Girl but I've never been able to take a good photo of her. Some cats I've had have been like that, others it was impossible to take a bad photo of them.

Lovely ladies, so kind of you that have rescued dogs from abroad. I salute you.

Thanks to all for posting such lovely photos.
My dog was flown here (Western Canada) from a euthanasia centre in California. A charity brought 80 rescued dogs over and I picked this little girl who was 9 months old. She's 7 now. She's such fun, loving and loyal (sticks to me like glue) and I am very, very lucky to have her.
