Do you or don’t you like dogs? Quick survey.

I think this is a silly question. I like some dogs, others less so.

I don't have one and never would, but I have loved my friend's dogs and mourned with them when they died.

Dog owners though- they can be annoying...

Yes, I like dogs and would very much like to have one of my own again. Not possible at present though.

I have one but could live without one. I prefer cats.

I like some dogs, I dislike others but that is mainly because they have stupid, irresponsible owners who allow their dogs to jump up people, use extending dog leads in all the wrong places, and fail to recall their dogs.

I would very much like to have a dog of my own but my mobility is restricted and it would not be fair on the animal as I couldn't exercise it the way it needed it.

I do acknowledge that dogs are probably only s 'good' as the training their owners give them.

I don't like any of them but I understand that others do. They are very important to some people, I know, but personally I just don't like them.

I don`t like the smell of dog wee on my way to the shops, there are streams of dog wee all over the pavement. Too many dogs, too much dog poo and too many owners who go out in the dark and don`t pick up

I have had 4 lovely dogs in my lifetime. It is not the dogs fault that they have irresponsible owners

Can take them or leave them. It's the owners that can be the problem.

You need to know who doesn't like or who fears dogs so that you don't foist yours on them or so that you handle dog/person contact accordingly.
I adore most dogs. My last dogs ashes are in pride of place in our home. I loved him dearly and still miss him.
Obviously I don't like savage dogs but then I don't like savage people either.
Working dogs are extremely helpful to people including guide dogs and other human assist dogs and of course police and Border Force dogs.
Some dogs are a person's only friend , particularly as people get older and their family and friends die and their dogs give them something to care for and a reason for living.
Owners should always clear up dog mess ; Those who don't spoil it for everyone. I don't want to float on a sea of poo either.
Cleaning up my dog's mess didn't bother me one iota.

I am rather fed up with well meaning folks assuring me that their dogs are non-allergic, not to me they aren’t!

I am therefore resigned to being a cat lady, not that we have one at the moment.

Absolutely love dogs must say I prefer larger breeds not so taken with the little yappy ones.
We don't have one of our own now but very often walk or look after our children's have just come back from walking my daughters rottie.

Yes, I do. I don’t think a lot of people realise what a commitment they are to look after them properly, but equally I don’t think people who don’t like them realise how clever they are, and much they add to your life.

I do like them, at their best they're wonderful, they really love with all their heart, unwavering devotion, I've seen it with several dogs, I've known well, although I've never had one of my own. Cats are my preferred choice of pet, I adore them.

Absolutely love dogs, all animals in fact. To be perfectly honest, give me dogs over people any day of the week! And I know this is controversial, but if my dog doesn't like you, then I'm not going to trust you either. If I had to choose between my dog and any other human on the planet outside my very immediate family, then my dog wins every time. My life would be meaningless without a dog in it. Humans I can take or leave...

Don't mind dogs in general and really like my friends dogs, but have never felt the need to have one of my own.
I don't like dog owners who let their dogs run up to you and jump all over you.

Love dogs, especially working springer and cocker spaniels. We’ve had dozens, but now on my own, I wouldn’t have one of my own. However, I have DD2’s Little Dog for a sleepover once a fortnight and full time when she’s working away or on holiday. He’s here now, but going home tomorrow.
