Generally no, I tolerate my son’s and brother’s as they’re well trained.
We don’t have any pets.

Dogs have always been part of my life. They epitomise what we ought to be - loyal, forgiving, loving, easy to please... and as for 'difficult' dogs, from my experience the trouble is always at the other end of the lead. Your dog is your companion and example - I love them!

The dogs are fine, it’s the entitled owners that irritate me, treating their pooch as a child, insisting on taking them into a hotel or restaurant.

As long as they behave I don’t mind them but I wouldn’t want one thanks.

We have an 11 year old dog. He gives us a reason to get up early in the morning and get outside to walk later in the day. As he has got older he has suffered with terrible separation anxiety so we won’t put him in kennels or with strangers so our son comes over and looks after him if we want to go away so we don’t impose on him too much and stay home more than we should as despite being 81 we are still active. It probably wasn’t a wise decision to get a dog at the age of 70 but we did and he is loved by all of the family.

Not a silly question, I can take or leave them. I would not want one though.

I always wanted a little Yorkshire Terrier but never got one.
We had cats instead.

I love dogs although I no longer have my own. My adult children each have a dog and I love to “doggysit” if they are having a few days away to somewhere that’s not dog friendly.

I enjoy spending time with them but wouldn’t like the full time commitment of having my own dog. Also, the expense can be eye watering. Vet bills, food, insurance etc.

I like dogs but don’t have one myself, and don’t think I ever will as they require a lot of commitment and money.
We like to be able to go away when the mood takes us and don’t want the added problem of finding dog friendly places to stay or the expense of kennels.

I like a few dogs that are properly trained and have nice personalities. Most though I don't because their owners have no idea how to train them. We had dogs until I was around 30 and doggy training didn't exist then, you just simply trained them yourself. Ours never bit, could heel, sit, didn't pull on the lad and had 100% recall.

Love them, sometimes don't care for the owners.

I don’t like the way dogs are higher up the pecking order than humans now I don’t like them in shops and eating places but that’s not the dogs fault it s the owners

Yesterday a lady came into our shop with her dog draped around her shoulders it sits there the whole time while she walks in the streets, goes shopping etc etc it’s round her neck like one of those awful fox scarves that old ladies used to wear and it absolutely stinks of wet dog coat it left such a stink in the shop I had to go round with a spray after she was gone

Leave your dog at home when you are shopping or going out to eat in a cafe or restaurants then I’ll like them a whole lot betterI also do not want to sit next door to someone’s else’s dog or cat or snake in a aeroplane thanks

Love dogs, especially working springer and cocker spaniels. We’ve had dozens, but now on my own, I wouldn’t have one of my own. However, I have DD2’s Little Dog for a sleepover once a fortnight and full time when she’s working away or on holiday. He’s here now, but going home tomorrow.

Absolutely love dogs, all animals in fact. To be perfectly honest, give me dogs over people any day of the week! And I know this is controversial, but if my dog doesn't like you, then I'm not going to trust you either. If I had to choose between my dog and any other human on the planet outside my very immediate family, then my dog wins every time. My life would be meaningless without a dog in it. Humans I can take or leave...

Don’t like them much I am a cat person we have 4. Two close friends have one , similar breed. One is well trained and adorable the other not so much and it gets laughed at if it disobeys hence it is sometimes a real pest when they visit. I agree it’s always the owners fault if the dog is a nuisance . I’d never have one but I’d never hurt one either

I don’t like dogs much. Some of them have nice faces, but I have no desire to stroke them or touch them. I greatly prefer cats.

I like dogs but am terrified of them especially if one runs up to me. I don’t remember it but my mother told me I witnessed two dogs fighting right next to me in Woolworth’s when I was two years old.

I like dogs, when I was a young girl my parents had dogs, they were well behaved and very much missed when they died, they were part of the family, I have never had one of my own, we had cats and I love them too.

I like dogs very much and have had three over the years. I won't have any more because I don't want to walk them in the winter when it's dark and potentially icy. I'm getting too old for that.
