Ah, the USA, where they chop off dogs’ tails and ears for fashion. Where they believe long-discredited nonsense about training and use electric shock collars. Where it’s ok to shut a dog in a small cage all day and all night and feed dogs all their lives on dried food like a factory-farmed pig.

Lots of people in the UK only feed their dogs dried food and you make sweeping generalisations about how millions upon millions of US citizens treat their dogs.

We don't, however, allow the cropping of ears or tails or the use of shock and prong collars.

water meadow , thanks for your post. I joined a fb group which turned out to be American. Dogs left 8 hours a day in a crate while owners work , to stop the dog destroying or toileting in the house. Electric shock or prong collars the first response to a dog that pulls on its lead. Ear cropping and worse

I have constant arguments with Americans on various Labrador groups over shock and prong collars and similar issues!

What show is it? I don't think Westminster was in February

I'm also against cropping unless needed medically.
