Regarding the dog poo debacle

Dog poo is bio-degradable. If your dog defaecates in the countryside, putting it in a plastic bag and leaving it there is not only inconsiderate to the people who've now got to put it in the bin for you -- it's also stopping it being food for plants! Use a stick, and flick it into a bush so it doesn't smell. The common sense solution.
If you do put it in a bag, put it in the bin! Don't just leave it there.

You can buy or make a bag that goes around your waist. Carry dog poo bags in it.
After picking up pop it into bag leaving hands free to control your dog.
Drop the bag into the next dog bin you see or take it home. Do not leave it that is unacceptable.

I use a Halti lead which I can attach to my waist while I’m poo picking. One of the best things I ever bought.

I’ve had dogs for 39 years and have always picked up the poo. When my DS was a toddler he tripped and fell whilst on a walk and put his hands out , straight into a pile of poo . Luckily I had wipes with me and nappy sacks and was able to clean him up.

valdavi I do the same as long as I know I'm going to be travelling the same path back and try to put them out of sight but near a 'marker'. I went on a forest walk recently and within 50 yards of the car park where there was a bin there were at least 15 piles of poo and similar number of poo bags. Now that's just laziness.

Pick it up….for Goodness sake. Some person, or child might step or fall in it.
Disgusting to flick it somewhere.
I can’t believe one could be so thoughtless.
