Here at GNHQ we're interested in finding out more about what our users think about the upcoming EU referendum. On the 23rd June 2016, there will be a referendum to decide whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union, or whether we should leave it.

This survey is open to all gransnetters who are eligible to vote in UK general elections. Everyone who completes the survey will be put into a prize draw where one gransnetter will win a £100 store voucher (winner can pick from our list of suppliers).

Here's the link: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SF9TDW3

Thanks
GNHQ

The Brexit brigade have given out snippets of tantalising or worrying ideas, none of which have swayed me. Much of the Brexit strategy is pure conjecture and wishful thinking.

I am vehemently in, despite not being entirely happy with the EU. There is no perfect solution but staying 'in' seems the best of the options on offer.

Perhaps my strongest reason for staying in is the fact that we have not fought a European war since 1945. Yes, I understand there have been wars within Europe but none that really involved our country. Look to the previous few hundred years and we were fighting (e.g. dying) all the time...

I voted in the last referendum. At that time the Politicians kept going on about the Common Market, remember previous to this we always had shortages. The politicians were hiding the true facts, I have since found out that it was the Americans pushing not just us but all in Europe.
Anyway now I would like to vote out from my heart, but at the age of 70 I also have to think of my sons who both have financial jobs. So my head says I will not be around much longer but hopefull my Children and Grandchildren will, I hate to say it but I think their long time future is in the EEC. I could go on and on but what is the point.

OUT! Even though the only political party I have respect for, wants to stay in, I want out as soon as possible.

I think we should remain in the EU - I believe that together we stand divided we fall. We have a voice together with the other members of the EU. On our own we would struggle - have to think of worldwide terrorism e.g. we need the support of the EU.

Done! I listened to the politicians in '75 and was scared to death so voted IN. Oh boy did I get that one wrong! Has anyone noticed that the arguments are the same regurgitated ones we had then? We need the security; the rise of Russia; freedom of movement was an ideal; we couldn't strike a trade deal alone etc., etc. Let me oooout!

We old people should not be allowed to vote on our children's and grandchildrens future. What expertise do we have? Our children have been in the u nion all their lives, we have no right to decide their future. I expect most old people will selfishly vote out so I am voting in.

Did our parents not vote in the last referendum?
I can't recall thinking they were too old to vote. We all live in this country. What happens will affect us all, not just our children and grandchildren.

done (i think), in my humble opinion the Economy will fall in deep if we leave and YES, immigration is an issue, but the good thing here is it's low qualified labor and we do miss that
