Doesn't necessary have to be a favorite but maybe you feel sorry for one more then the other You don't have to buy more for one then the others You can just keep that extra bit of love and give more stolen hidden hugs kisses & thoughts locked in your heart.

No favourites here but there are definitely times when I favour one over the others. This could be because of behaviour, age, needs or many other reasons but I would try my very best to not let it show.

Each of our 9 grand-children is very different from the others (thank goodness). Love each one equally but in a way exclusive to them.

Although I only have 1 grandchild she also has an older brother who has been a part of our son's life, & therefore also ours, since before he was born. I do feel more attached to our own granddaughter as it has always been difficult to strike a balance between showing our love for the boy & not stepping on the toes of his genetic grandparents as well as his mostly absent father (as it still is)

I have three lovely Grandchildren, but certainly no favourite, I love them all the same. My Mother has always favoured my Sister over me, so I would never ever show favouritism to any of them!

They are all my favourites!

My favourite grandchild is the one that my son and his wife are praying to have after several years of infertility. In the meantime, the other five will do!

I was my grandparents favourite to the exclusion of my siblings. It caused endless resentment and I hated it.

I don't have a favourite granddaughter, (I have 3) but when we're all together, it's a family joke that I whisper loudly to whichever is nearest, "You're my favourite!". They all laugh because they know it isn't true.

I do have a favourite and know that it must never ever show. I have two beautiful grandsons age 7 and 4 I think the reason I have such a special bond with the oldest is that he is so much more affectionate himself than the little one. Our 4 year old is lovely but very self contained and sometimes slightly aloof.
I will already said I will never let it show and really mean it they will always seem to be loved and treated the same.

I have a favourite and she knows it. I suspect everyone knows it. It just happened.
She is the first and is far closer to me than the others who I seldom see.
She is kind ,loving and considerate. She does far more for me and her GD than any of the others. Why wouldn't she be our favourite.

I hate to say this, but I have a Downs Syndrome GD who has been so spoiled that she is positively obnoxious. She is wrecking the lives of her parents and sister with her incessant demands and unwillingness not to wake her exhausted parents 2 or 3 times a night. I can't stand her. My other 3 grandchildren I get on very well with.

DGS was only 4 when DGD was born and I loved him so much I was frightened that I wouldn't feel the same about the new baby. Of course I was wrong. Two years later and they both light up our lives.

I don't have favourite and I don't think is right to have one. The best is to love them same. The little one would feel soon or later who's favourite and this could cause conflicts amongst siblings. My motto is: Treat them the same and love them the same.

I think that 'do you have a favourite' is a difficult question to answer. I love all of my DGC so much. But some of them I 'know' better than others and so have a more familiar relationship with them.

Some of them live so far away (facetime once a month, visit every couple of years)...... others are a few hundred miles away (visit 2 or 3 times yearly). Those DGC who are local are as familiar to me as the nose on my face.
It's hard not to feel a little more close to those with whom we are more familiar.

How long is this post going on for it has been on the boards since March this year we don't usually have survey's for this length of time.

All 4 of my grandchildren are my favourites but all for different reasons, if that makes sense. They all have unique qualities and if I had to choose one - I couldn't.

Mt 3 G C all think that they are the favourite so I cant be doing to much wrong, I do find that they all have things which make me love them even more, but also that all have the odd trait which I dislike just like my own kids, after all no one is perfect.

Yes I do have a favourite, and to be honest I am not sure why. However, which one it is out of the six fantastic grandchildren that I have is between me and my conscience. I would never let it show or make any difference to the way that I treat them, to me they are all absolutely wonderful.

I love them equally. The younger one will need me more and is closer. They are different when they get older. X

No favourites in this part of the family. I know how it feels to be the least favourite so wouldn't do that to anyone. Everyone is unique and love is endless.

I suppose I can claim to have a favourite grandSON because the others are all beautiful grandaughters. But a favourite grandCHILD? No.

My mother had a favourite and we all knew it, it caused so many arguments with the children.I vowed I would never have a favourite grandchild and I now have 3 lovely granddaughters who I love to bits
