1 Reasonably satisfied, too watery for me. I prefer a thicker, creamier consistency.
2 I had no issues using it on my sensitive skin dry skin, caused by medication and it did leave my legs quite smooth and eased the itch . However, DH tried it and his itchy patch became itchier after a while.
3 I was happy with it being unscented, as like others, I see it more of a medical product.
4 I have arthritic hands and found the cap difficult to open.
5 I didn't rate it highly enough to purchase in the future or ask my GP for a prescription , but do appreciate having the opportunity to try it.

1. How satisfied were you with Balneum Dry Skin and Itch Relief Lotion?
I have an autoimmune disease and I did not expect the lotion to do much for me but I was pleasantly surprised as it did help
2. Did Balneum Dry Skin and Itch Relief Lotion improve your skin's condition? Were there any parts of the body you felt it worked best on?
It improved my skins condition and controlled the itch for several hours. It is silky and pleasant to use but a little runny I was managing to get a lot on the floor when attempting to put the cream on my back. I used the lotion all over my body.
3. Will you continue using Balneum Dry Skin and Itch Relief Lotion following this test
I will continue to use it during the day but will use a cream at night
4. Would you recommend Balneum Dry Skin and Itch Relief Lotion? I would recommend dry skin sufferers try it
Many thanks for the opportunity to try it out
1. Moderately satisfied
2. It worked well on areas where I have "normal" or just slightly dry skin. It worked less well on cracked skin or very sensitive skin (I have a patch of eczema on my hand).
3. I will use the bottle, but wouldn't buy it.
4. Possibly, for those who like a thinner lotion.
Oops! my message has disappeared, don't know why. I'll try again later.
A very effective lotion for dry and itchy skin. I was dubious about using it on my hands when I had an eczema flare up, but it was both soothing and moisturizing. It has a good texture , very light, and it absorbs well.
For me ( but not necessarily for everyone) it moisturizes better than my prescribed moisturizer as it absorbs better and doesn't 'lie' on my skin. I will mention it to my GP the next time I visit . Perhaps I need both .
I will certainly continue to use this . It is also very effective on the dry skin on my elbows and ankles. I have already spoken about it to my friends and I am very happy to recommend it.
1. I am quite satisfied with The Balneum Lotion, easy to apply, absorbs well, non greasy.
2. The lotion works well on dry torso and arms.My lower legs, ankles and feet are extremely dry and I usually get a "snowfall" of skin flakes when removing my socks. After a week's usage, the lotion has made the skin here much more soft and supple and only a couple of flakes in socks.Itching is mostly relieved.
3. I will continue to use the lotion, although I would prefer it to be a little thicker.
4. Will recommend this lotion to anyone who asks my advice on dry skin and eczema.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try Balenum.
I was very satisfied with the lotion which improved very dry itchy skin on several parts of my body. I saw a particular improvement on shins, back of heels and found relief when using it around my tummy which (washing powder/liquid/central heating/clothing fibres, who knows?) can become irritatingly itchy.
I will look out for Balenum when shopping as I think it marginally better than my usual product however, the cost is substantially more. Perhaps if sold in a larger size offering better value and/or product promotions would definitely encourage me to make a purchase.
Unlike many others, I rather liked the viscosity of the liquid. I found it spread well and was easily absorbed, so from my perspective, please do not make it thicker.
I am very happy to write that I would indeed recommend Balenum to those with dry, irritated itchy skin.
I really liked the Balneum Lotion, it did a good job of moisturising my skin and also relieved the mild itch that I experience due to my eczema. I found that the lotion worked well on the dry skin on my elbows and my shins. The eczema on my hands always gets worse over the winter so I'll be continuing to use Balneum and I'm interested in seeing how well it works when my skin deteriorates.
I have already recommended Balneum to several friends.
PS Amazon will not let me review as “they have noticed unusual reviewing activity” so that will be GN then??
I am very pleased with this product as I had been experiencing itching on my arms for months. This cream was not greasy and was easy to apply and after several uses reduced my itching dramatically. I would buy this lotion again and would recommend it for softening your skin and relieving itching. However it is not an instant fix it does take a few applications to stop the itch.
I also used it on my lower legs which were very dry and would recommend daily use to keep skin soft once a day.
Was very impressed with this lotion.
I used it mainly on my hands which are very prone to dermatitis and I found it improved them noticeably. Have used on dry patches on legs to good effect.
I will continue to use it depending on price and have recommended to my husband for dermatitis on his hands.
After trialling Balneum for my very dry skin courtesy of being on Morphine painkillers, menopause and under active thyroid etc it definitely did help my skin, but personally would of preferred this if it was in a thick cream formula as being a lotion it just wasn’t quite thick enough. It is a nice product to use in between using cream...say 2/3 times a week after my shower if I haven’t got time to rub cream in. Yes I would buy it if it was at a reasonable price as it’s unperfumed which I like, it doesn’t irritate and sinks into the skin quickly. I would recommend this product to others as not many people have got skin as dry as mine. My daughter in law suffers with eczema so I would be interested to see if this works for her!
Very pleased with Balneum lotion. Have been prescribed theBalnium cream for very dry skin on my feet caused by diabetes . But the cream is thick and hard to rub in, whilst The lotion is easily absorbed and leaves my skin really soft and moisturised . I have already recommended it to several people. Thank you.
It was good to test this product and I would recommend it for those who have dry, itchy skin that isn't quite bad enough to be eczema. It's not scented, and is light to apply. I found it really good that it worked to soothe the itchy skin I sometimes get on my calves, and for this reason I would keep some in. It won't replace my usual body lotion as I like to use something scented after a shower, but I would use it to tackle itchy skin - it works brilliantly for this. Thank you for sending me the free bottle. I can confirm that I have also done the survey as requested.
Hi Amazon would not let me review this product
I was really satisfied withthis Balneum Lotion, I used it daily on my hands arms and legs and found the lotion was light, easily absorbed and pleasant to use, I liked the fact that it was not cloggy or greasy and best of all it actually did help to get rid of the itchy skin, I have recommended this to my eldest daughter and she tried some on her psoriasis, I would happily buy this product as I was impressed with it and I will recommend to others. Quite happy to leave a review on Amazon. Thank you for letting me test this great product.
1. I am very satisfied with this product.
2. I used it mainly on my lower legs which were very dry and itchy. Now they feel less dry, more moisturised and definitely less itchy.
3. I will continue to use it until it runs out, but may buy more depending on the price.
4. I would certainly recommend people try it if what they already use does not work/
1 it’s ok
2 no. It’s no better than my regular cream
3 no
4 it’s worth a try.
I personally found it greasy and unpleasant to apply
Incidentally, it arrived in broken packaging
BALMEUM LOTION. Found this lotion did what it said on the box. It did really help my dry skin. However would say this definitely a medical product and would only use it if I had a bad problem. Really good for people with eczema etc and would recommend this as my elbows were really sore and cracked and now almost normal, in just over a week.
However, when I've had a shower, l like to put lotion on that makes me smell nice and pampered and BALMEUM doesn't do this.
Think that it should be available on prescription as it doesn't smell unlike all the other stuff that gets given out my GP'S. Am sure patients would prefer it. If it worked on my elbows, it will work on anything.
Much appreciate the chance to try it. Good luck. Diane.
Nice, not too thick cream, stopped most of my itchy ness but, when I rubbed it onto my back, where I have fur a very long time, felt some small bumps under the skin, it brought them out into what looked like scratches. However, after a few more days, these have gone and my back now feels really smooth, so I am very pleased
was great to try this product.
I’ve been using it for the last week now and very satisfied with it on both the dryness and Itch relief aspects
In particular I used it on my calves which often get quite dry and itchy- especially this time of year when I start wearing tights and boots.
But it also applies well elsewhere and I made a point of trying it on my elbows too!
I’m going to use it to the end of the bottle and will probably use it beyond that depending on the price- I think it’s likely
Around the same price point but I prefer the consistency and as well as the moisturising this does feel better in terms of itch relief
Thanks for letting me test this
1. Quite satisfied
2. I think I am better with a thicker 'cream' type of moisturiser
3. No
4. Yes, it wasn't the best type of lotion for me but I found it all
right.
I don't know if the container that it came in is the permanent one but I found it a bit difficult to open. I had to fiddle to get a nail underneath the top to prise it open.
I think it may have helped my itchy back a bit. I used the smooth back of my back scratcher to apply it!
I found the product very easy to apply. It us not thick and sticky and absorbs quickly and easily. I have used it to combat itchy skin at night and have found it effective allowing me to sleep better.
Really like this lotion, very silky on my ridiculously parched skin, used it on my hands, arms, legs and upper back, all the places prone to eczema. Fragrance free which is a bonus for sensitive skin. I will definitely buy a bottle after my trial one has finished, and at the rate my daughters keep using it that won't be long!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try this product. I liked the fact that it is odourless. I was pleasantly surprised too because the lotion seemed thin but left my skin smooth, soft and completely 'flake-free' for ages. It soaked in quickly and was not greasy. It is a soothing product and I would definitely buy it.
