Is It Wrong For a Younger Man to Date A older Woman?

My first ever relationship was with an Older Lady who was in her late 50s.
I was in my mid 30s, and I seriously didn't see anything wrong in being involved with an older woman.
while the relationship lasted we did things that all couples do like seeing each other
Going on holidays together.
Spending weekends together etc , etc.
And Yes we also had sex.
my last relationship was with another older woman who was in her early 60s when we met
And I was in my mid 30s and our relationship/friendship lasted for 9 years.
Sadly she died in april this year after suffering a Heart attack which she never really recovered from and suddenly died while sitting reading in her daughters garden.
I was shocked and heartbroken when I finally found out what had happened to my dear ex girlfriend.
When I told my mum who is age 70 by the way, she was surprised that I had dated a much older woman and asked me what I was doing with someone much older than me?
I told her that my dear ex partner's age didn't bother me and I was proud and honored to have been a part of her life.
I now hold onto the hope of one day being re-united with my dear ex girlfriend based on faith in Jesus Christ.
Without that I would Have no hope at all except the precious memories which I continue to treasure.
I don't have a problem with people of different ages That have a relationship.
I think it is a good thing.
If anything what spoils it is imperfection in that eventually everyone grows old and dies.
To me that is the worst thing of all and it has happened to me and took away my dear ex girlfriend.
Obviously it happens to everyone eventually and everyone has their own way of dealing with it.
I say to those in a relationship in which you are younger and your partner is older
Enjoy it and try not to let society scare you into ending it with your partner.
if you both like and love each other
hold on to what you have because it is precious and like what happened to my dear partner
Death took her away.
So before it also takes your partner away, try to enjoy every moment of being in love.
Its one of the best if not the best thing in life.
And women are an incredible creation.
everything a man could wish for all in one unique and incredible body.
despite the cruelty of death, we are still blessed and so always treasure your partner and Treat like you would treat something of value.

confused Not quite seeing where this is going but I see you have abandoned all the capital letters trevor big improvement.

Ana Wed 23-Jul-14 16:11:51

Trevor actually started the Capital Letters thread after this one, Soutra! Perhaps he thought it would have more of an impact...?

My ex-partner was over 6 years younger than me. We survived 17 years before he ran off with someone younger.
I suppose 6 years isn't much of an age difference really though.

Trevor47 Wed 23-Jul-14 16:38:38

sorry you experienced that hen.
have you found someone new?

Trevor47 Wed 23-Jul-14 16:40:52

no ana
it's cause i'm ignorant regarding writing.
i never completed school when I was young and so never learned to write properly hence why I use capital letters in the wrong places etc.
thanks for drawing it to my attention though.

Ana Wed 23-Jul-14 16:43:40

You seem pretty literate to me, Trevor hmm

Trevor47 Wed 23-Jul-14 16:49:30

well
thanks ana but honestly i can't write properly...its always been a problem since my childhood.
same with counting and maths.
when I was around 11 years old i couldn't count money or read the time.

Trevor47 Wed 23-Jul-14 19:28:26

i really wish i could write properly.
its something that has bothered me for years.

henetha Wed 23-Jul-14 20:41:56

No Trevor, I have not, and don't really want to. I have learned for the first time in my life to be independent, and quite value it now.
