celebgran ((( hugs )))...
Morning ladies, hope you all had a good weekend. There's
here at the moment but I don't think it's going to last.
I was supposed to be going down to Portsmouth today, train tickets paid for, and the girls were due to have my little dog. A few weeks ago they said they had the opportunity to do some night shifts. Bless them they work really hard and the night shifts are in addition to their normal hours. I asked if they'd still be OK to look after him and they said they were.
We bumped into them on Saturday they looked exhausted, and K said she was a bit worried that because they're sleeping so much during the day they wouldn't spend much time with him.
I don't go out to work so he's used to company throughout the day and I never leave him for than 4, occasionally 5 hours at a time.
It was a long shot with it being school summer holidays but I 'phoned the kennels I use and of course they were fully booked so I thought it best not to go away.
We had our regular morning cuddle before I got up this morning and I'm so pleased that I'm not going away and my little man (not Mr. S.
) will get all of the love and attention he deserves.
Is he spoiled? You bet he is
.
Smilless remind me what sort is your little man?
Course I don't mean mr s he is a diamond sort of man!
Well divorce rows yesterday biggest fault with lovely mr c is that he absolutely refuses to tidy up the declutter and cleaner won't be able dust much?.
If he is forced to a hugenrow ensues yesterday he pulled stuff from bin bag that I had decltjtered old body sprays never uses.
See the problem ?
He is a diamond carer with patience of a saint otherwise,
Well result got his declutter bottom wardrobe and bathroom cupboard but only with horrid atmosphere and lots of abuse.
Well today got 2 reg ladies, was so bad sat knee decided kick in too that wondered if would make it today but knee settled.
What shame Smilelss about your little break, my besitfiuo rosie jumped on settled last. first time time since her operation we were sooooo pleased it broke ice in our bust up ?. She been eying it several days and dh said she won't make it but she did!
Every day is a bonus.
One week to go and got keep busy or I will crumble.
Great have my ds back in U.K..!
I'm intrigued Smileless - what were you visiting Portsmouth for? Did you have an assignation that Mr S was unaware of? Tell all...
He's a particularly small toy poodle Celeb. So small that everyone thinks he's a puppy even though he's 2.5 years old and so cute, everyone calls him she. Even the vet who saw him last week for his annual booster kept saying 'she'
. A bit disconcerting from a vet especially as little man's little man isn't that little; if you get what I mean
.
Maybe it's his ballerina cut that confuses people, but he does wear his Blue Lagoon aftershave from time to time.
Good news about Rosie; every day is a bonus and I know you'll be making the best of each and every one.
I think a lot of men hoard crap rubbish. Mr. S. has medication that fills 3 small drawers
. Think I'll have to get Mr. C. to come and go through it all. He said he doesn't take all of it, but keeps it all in case he needs it
. There's enough to enable me to open my own pharmacy
.
At least you knee's settled down again. How's your back? Not long now until your op and you'll be running around like a soring chicken.
Fairydoll
no, not an assignation; Mr. S. is the only man for me
. My dear friend, the sister I never had lives there but we've been fated this year.
She was supposed to come up for Easter but because DS and Dd.i.l. were here because of the death of her father, I had to cancel that visit too. She teaches so we have to arrange visits during school holidays. She's going to come next Easter and I'll go down in the summer, having booked the kennels well in advance.
Sorry Celeb I meant spring chicken
.
Ha ha just got back from one satisfied client read typos ?
Meant rosie jumped on settee of course,
Do hope so dear friend!
Aagh remember now saw pics of him!
Well little rest then off do next lady xxx godmother
You meant settee, I meant spring PLEASE GNHQ let us have an edit button.
Celeb, you are bound to have these differences when you have lived together for a long time.(50 years for us) It's how you behave after that matters...I am the hoarder..there I've said it..do have a clear out now and again.
Of course you are both anxious too?
Pets are wonderful for healing in many ways.
You would only worry about your little dog,Smileless.
Hope the sunshines on one and all at some point ?
NSx
Just pottering and is lovely picked some lavender and read band it withnelastic helps dry quicker
Yes please edit button?
Thanks northern soul as u know 40 years for us??
I al also bit of hoarder but not quite as bad as mr c ????
No Celeb you're not a hoarder you're like me and a lot of women. You keep things of value, importance, need and necessity
.
Yes I would have Northernsoul. He's asleep in his favourite chair and looks soooo cute. Oh and that's another thing. Mr S. thinks it's his chair
. I keep telling him it's the dog's.
Hi All- wonderful sunny morning in the states but DH is going to get throat scoped and having an acid monitor implanted near the stomach for two days. Trying to find out if acid reflux caused the heart attack like symptoms. I hope it's only that as opposed to angina, a heart spasm.
Have a great day
Let us know how he gets on Rhinestone and send him our best wishes.
Oh yes rhinestone keep us posted, sounds horrid test hope its positive result.
Ttreatments went very well bit more towards dh ring .,
Ha ha poor mr s not realising doggie comes first.!?
Hi everyone- Three hours at the hospital but all went well. DH has this monitor implanted where the esophagus meets the stomach. He says he can feel something when he eats. He wears a monitor with an antenna on the outside and in two days the monitor inside of him falls off. It's held on with suction. And then we find out if he has a problem with acid. Amazing what they can do now.
Today is ESS and wife's anniversary. We did not send a card. ESS told my Ds that he has problems with his wife and MIL. It's beginning to look like he has troubles with everyone.
Have a wonderful day across the pond. ?
Rhinestone I hope all turns out well for your DH...Smileless you are right about women keeping things of value and necessity..so we do...
Cold here today, I can't believe I have my warm cardy on and it's August!
Hi! Haven't been in for a while. Busy w/ summer activities. Just stopping by to say hello and best wishes to you, celeb, on your op and, Rhinestone, to your dh, as well!
Good to see your post Starlady and to know that you're busy enjoying all things summery. Weather is miserable here again today
.
Think I'm going to have wear a warm cardy too Sparkly.
It`s blooming freezing here in the Midlands - I`ve just closed up the greenhouse as my tomatoes are showing no signs of ripening. Definitely cardy weather. Are you off to America this summer Smileless? If so, can we come too?
We're not going until the end of September eddie; thought we'd make the most of the British summer first
. It would be great wouldn't it if we could arrange a get together in Florida
. Not quite so far for Rhinestone to travel.
Mr. S. checked out the weather in Orlando yesterday and said it's rain, rain, rain but at least it's warm so your tomatoes would probably do better over there.
Rhinestone, hope you're husband is coping with his monitor, sounds awful, but it's amazing the treatments available now and if it helps to sort his oroblem out that us what matters.
Not long now Celeb, everything crossed, how is tgecdeclutter going. I decluttered a couple of weeks ago, but I have filled up the places I made with more purchases.
I would love a little toy poodle or a cavapoo, but know once I got one my holidays would end, couldn't bear to leave him or her, it's difficult, I do get lonely sometimes but don't know if I am ready to give up my days out or holidays. I saw a lovely chocolate toy poodle in the spring, whilst out for the day, it was unclipped and just so beautiful, my sister and I both wanted one straight away but have resisted the
urge, I quite understand you not leaving yours Smileless, but how to you cope when you go off to America? I would have him gladly to look after, he would be spoilt but I wouldn't give him back so that could be a problem.
Very cold here, nearly put the heating on last night, but pulled myself together,N saying you're British, you can cope.
I'm always a bit upset the day he goes in Luckylegs. The first time he went I had a panic attack at the thought of leaving him
. For the first 4 days we were in Florida I 'phoned to make sure he was OK. On the 4th day they said I was welcome to call every day if I wanted too, but he really was perfectly fine, which of course he was.
We've been using the same kennels/cattery for years so I know my boys are well looked after. It's a 2.5 hour round trip now we've moved but I want let my boys go any where else.
I bet you would spoil him Luckylegs and he'd love it but not giving him back would be a BIG problem
.
Thank you all for your concern about DH. He turned his outside monitor into the hospital but the inside one that's attached to his stomach opening is still there. We were out to eat last night and it was bothering him when he swallowed. We don't know when it will fall off but it's up to 30 days after insertion.
I wish I could see you in Florida Smileless but we go in the winter. Don't you want a winter respite and come down then?
