Watch Scam Intercepers looking for love BBC, they always seem to use the ID of US service men and are working somewhere else then there is a problem with releasing their money or some other ridiculous story. Beware as your name will be passed around to other scammers.

I could not BE more sceptical.
What is a 60 year old American doing “stationed in Poland”
Doe the US have a presence there?
What is his rank (should be easy to check) number, background.
Although my suspicion is more like identity theft - could you check the data you find on him against the photos he has sent you?

Alternatively, save time and RUN.

He is following the textbook script for scammers.

If you know how to, use Google to search his photo, and you will find it is of someone who's online photo has been used.

Is he a widower, with a child an older teen?

Oh dear.
Block him immediately (or whoever it really is)

Warning bells! Red flags! I think this is yet another example of the beasts that prey on women. Block! Run!

I don't mean to be hurtful, but this may be worth watching.
Even the first minute is about how the scammers are usually fake military men, who seem very romantic straight away.

Who knows I’m going to be vigilant from now on

Anything that is unsolicited from Tic Tok or instagram etc delete immediately, it will be a scam, not just women, I get them frequently

Cannot even believe you are asking this question? It is a well known romance scam. Soon requests for money will follow with a plausible reason why he cannot access his own money.

Surely you have seen some of the various TV programmes highlighting this?

It's a Scam!
I've had quite a few on Facebook. All US servicemen or on oil rigs. Friend requests.
All say how lovely I am blah blah blah........
Block him and I repeat, block him.
They're all conmen.
Don't say you weren't warned.

He is a scammer after your money. Block him now.

He's probably the same man who goes on games like Wordchums and Words with friends. I had an impossibly good-looking man in a US army uniform who randomly started a game online with me. He also started chatting and asking rather too friendly questions. Immediately blocked. So obviously a scam.

Very soon you will receive a message saying
a) He would love to visit you but for some reason cannot release funds from his bank account and could you advance him the fare or

b) one of his sons needs life saving medical treatment which for the above reason he cannot afford.

The most prolific dating scammers are Nigerians according to what I’ve read.
