Talking of being married in white, should you really have done it ( if you did)?

Queen Camilla did not wear white when she married King Charles, she wore grey.

I wore white. No baby on the way but we were ‘living’ together.

Married in the Registry Office in 1969. I had a pink dress from Rackham's in Birmingham.

I wore purple for one and a mix of colours for the second. Never had any interest in the big white wedding dress and wore a very trendy purple outfit with boots for my first. I was a very fashionable teenager at the time. On the morning of my first wedding the hairdresser asked if I was doing anything nice later. She nearly had kittens when I said I was getting married. She did do my hair beautifully and spent so long on it I was worried id be late for the ceremony. My second wedding was even more low-key, my abiding memories are my new MIL dressed in black from head to foot and my sons arguing about who got the biggest ice-cream when we went for a meal. It was still a nice day.

I did wear white, with a veil over my face but whether I should have done is nobody’s business but mine😉

I didn’t want a big white wedding as my dad had died suddenly a little while before, it was the first family occasion since his funeral. I was going to just wear a suit, not sure why I decided not to.

It was 1972, and looking back, I wish I had bought a floaty, flowery Laura Ashley dress as it would have been ‘of its time’, but we lived in the sticks, no LA store anywhere in the county, and I probably hadn’t heard of her anyhow back then!

With one 3 year old and another on the way, there didn't seem a lot of point really! The white symbolism supposedly representing purity was outmoded b****cks even then. Do men wear white, no! Because as we know they're almost expected to have been around the block a few times.

TerriBull your comment about men not wearing white is very true.
There are probably more women now who would traditionally not be ‘entitled’ to wear white. However it has been so for many many years.

I wore cream, with four of our children in attendance it would have been wrong to wear white.

DD has not forgiven us for having her after we married, as she is miffed her brothers are in the wedding photos and she isn’t 🙀

So basically the OP is asking who walked down the aisle a virgin.

I find this a little bizarre.
