I'd love it if Prince Andrew went to America to face the music, because I'd love to have someone as famous as he showing a moral lead Tell the truth and shame the devil.

Annepl, how someone lives their life is caused by ba mixture of nature(Genes) and nurture( external circumstances).

Prince Andrew's alleged wrongdoing is different from a commoner's wrongdoing because he had such a different education from what commoners have. I'm saying there is a message in this story about what he and some other upper class people have been taught by the circumstances of their lives especially perhaps those of their formative childhood years. It follows there is a message here regarding education in this country. Especially moral and social education in curriculums, and also the ethos of expensive private schools.

For instance it's common knowledge the Queen was taught duty and service by her parents and tutors, and it shows.

Surely it’s girls who need moral and social education to save
them from becoming victims

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:24:46

annie annie ??? Well words fail me. Maybe Iam will be able to address your post because a red mist is preventing me.

Alexa Thu 30-Jan-20 12:34:44

Annie, boys too become victims of predators.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:35:04

Well, if the seventeen year old girl who Andrew had his arm round at that party had been given a bit of moral education, maybe she wouldn't have allowed herself to be used in that way.

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:36:15

FFS

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:36:21

All young people need moral education.

Alexa Thu 30-Jan-20 12:36:22

Annie, moral and social education, to put it very simply, is for teaching people how to treat each other decently.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:36:50

Explain Suziewoozie (please smile)

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:37:46

Trafficking victims and victims of s sexual abuse allow themselves to be used FFS FFS FFS.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:38:20

I'm not saying that young women mustn't dress provocatively to avoid being raped, or anything of that ilk. But they do need to be taught how to look after themselves.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:39:38

So the seventeen year old was bound and gagged was she, when she was taken into the world of middle-aged users?

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:39:50

I expect victims of FGM allow themselves to be mutilated? Oh and of course we all know that rape victims are either lying or wearing the wrong clothes or drunk or walking home in the dark.

Alexa Thu 30-Jan-20 12:39:59

Lucywinter, the young person who was groomed by the criminal was vulnerable(poor ,and young)and a powerful man should have protected her, not used her.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:40:33

Look - I'm not talking about trafficked people from third world countries. Do not put that into my mouth.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:41:48

Read my post about rape victims.

FGM should not even be coming into this conversation.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:42:37

Yes - vulnerable, poor and young, and lacking in any kind of moral guidance. Someone let her down there.

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:43:00

She was pimped into that world as a young teenager by one of PAs BFF GM. I expect you agree with that judge last week who said that unless you fought back you couldn’t call it rape. Iam where the hell are you?

Alexa Thu 30-Jan-20 12:43:35

"So the seventeen year old was bound and gagged was she, when she was taken into the world of middle-aged users?"

How would you protect vulnerable girls?

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:43:40

I expect victims of FGM allow themselves to be mutilated?

That is a disgraceful post Suiewoozie.

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:44:09

So trafficking only happens in 3rd world countries - utter utter ignorance and stupidity

suziewoozie Thu 30-Jan-20 12:45:17

No it’s not - it’s an example of how victim blaming suddenly becomes uncomfortable

Anniebach Thu 30-Jan-20 12:45:44

Lucywinter. Every girl is a victim, every man a predator and
every predator is wealthy, powerful and been to public school.

lucywinter Thu 30-Jan-20 12:45:55

How do you think Alexa! By talking to them and giving them moral guidance. And teaching them self respect at a young age. Either their teachers or their parents.

Alexa Thu 30-Jan-20 12:46:30

"Yes - vulnerable, poor and young, and lacking in any kind of moral guidance. Someone let her down there."

Is moral guidance about protecting oneself, or about protecting others?
