I’m so sorry to hear your news, grannyactivist. You, your dear granddaughter and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sending you the biggest hug grannyactivist . Hope she makes a full recovery. It's so hard being such a distance from family , especially at times like this.

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes, it means such a lot to me. When she was born at just shy of 27 weeks our granddaughter spent three months fighting infection after infection and being able to come on here and share our ups and downs as she struggled for life was a lifeline for me. So many Gransnetters came on the journey with me that it felt like a triumph for us all when she finally went home.

Tests have now identified the two viruses that are causing the pneumonia, and they’re pretty much what was expected due to her past cardio respiratory problems, but it’s not known if there’s an additional bacterial infection. My daughter’s battery is almost flat and it’s night time there now, so I’m not expecting further news until this evening, but I would value your continued prayers.

Will pray for your granddaughter grannyactivist it must be so much harder being the other side of the world ?
