The Bishop was preaching compassion for our fellow humans. This is her job - spreading the word of Jesus.
Christians are exhorted to care for all, regardless of whom they might be.
Would you prefer she offered a different message, such as despise others who don't think like you, or maybe a little bit of hate?

Out of interest, you do understand that 1% as a part of 337million people is 3.37million people, correct? Episcopal is one of a vast range of Protestant Christian Churches in USA.

I had a very good friend who knew they were in the wrong body and couldn't understand why.

They were found in the river one sad, sad morning.

The Archbishop was simply asking for compassion, that's all. Not everyone is lucky enough to live the perfect life or to have the strength to cope if they feel they are different.

It was ecxellent speech!
