I watched Louis Theroux: The Settlers on IPlayer last night...I'd urge everyone to watch it.

Chilling doesn't even express some of the content.

I also highly recommend watching the Theroux programme on bbc2 last night.

Caught an excerpt from it on Facebook. If that's how the Settlers feel, there will never be peace.

Caleo, the programme will do nothing to change how you feel about those extremists. Don't think I could watch more that that excerpt.

It’s hard to watch but it should be seen, especially by those who have little concept of the Palistinians 70 year struggle to keep their lives, lands and their livings against the might and power of Israel.
Do they know how many Palistinians, have been killed over the last decades, forced off their land, out of their homes with no right of return and no reparation. They live in refugee camps in surrounding countries, to this day.
Israel have not allowed humanitarian aid into Gaza since the beginning of March, a crime in itself and the plan clearly is to take, by force, as much if not all Palestinian land for Israel.
It was once chillingly called Lebensraum. Does that ring a bell with Netanyahu and his cronies? It should.

I watched it too and would recommend it.

The bit which really got me was when the Palestinians were picking olives from their own trees. The Israeli turned up and told them to leave. They took Theroux' journalist ID card and passport away. Theroux asked them what would happen if they didn't go and the soldiers wouldn't say. Some of the Israelis interviewed were extremists - no other word for it.

I agree with you....for me it was the comments made by one of the Rabbi's, I'm not going to repeat the language he used to describe 'human beings'.

Do you know what was the catalyst for that attack? Arabs were being forced to flee parts of Palestine in advance of the establishment of an Israeli state. Israel declared a Declaration of Independence and continued to forced Arabs to leave the land the Israelis claimed was theirs. In the end, Israel ended up with more land than the United Nations had planned.

I haven’t watched yet, I saw a very negative review, personal attack on Louis Theroux in the DMail, positive review in the Guardian.

what they wanted from the documentary they had to apologise for and withdraw

The DM appears to be behind a paywall now, so I can't read any personal attacks. What were the attacks accusing him of doing? To me, it seemed like typical Louis Theroux style - he lets people speak for themselves and his audience to make up its own mind.

True, this is not a BBC News programme but Louis Theroux: The Settlers (BBC Two). It is mostly concerned with the West Bank, rather than Hamas-controlled Gaza. Theroux is under no obligation to hide where his sympathies lie, and he doesn’t, closing the film by telling a leading settler that she’s a sociopath because she doesn’t care about the suffering of Palestinians.

Theroux wasn’t biased, nor was the bbc. He observed and let people speak for themselves.
You don’t comment about the programme, but talk about what you saw on tv at 8. Never again, but children have and are being killed, many thousands of them. It’s happening now, every day. Does that not disturb you at all?

Who said the quote "never again"?
The initial meaning of the phrase, used by Abba Kovner and other Holocaust survivors, was particular to the Jewish community.

I accept the quote is now used by some for wars

Never again should also be for those dying terrible deaths today. This time the victims are not Jews and others, but palistinians dying under Israeli bombs and rockets. Each one of those children were their parents beloved child.

It should be obvious. They claim these bombing of innocent civilians is just wrong, no matter who is bombing.
