Possible (fake) BT scam, access to computer wanted

Hello, I've just had a phone call from (supposedly) BT, saying they want to stop hackers infiltrating all my computer data, and they wanted me to be sat at said computer, and go through the motions with them, I immediately felt uneasy about this, and I said 'no, I'm not giving you access to my computer', and put the phone down, twice more he tried ringing, which I ignored, has anyone else had this happen to them ?..........within the past few weeks I was almost the victim of an attempted financial scam, I don't want to go through all that again !.......confused

Most lunchtimes I receive a scam call from either Bank Security or BT Internet (supposedly). I got the BT one yesterday “hello ma’am this is BT regarding your internet connection.” Dead giveaway when they call you ma’am.

I said “no you’re not so you can f* off.” She then started saying “you can f* off too” as I slammed the phone down.
I had just had enough yesterday!
