Skirted my way around muddy puddles.
Met a man out walking his dog, he was holding on to his hat as he didn't want the wind to blow it into the burn.
I saw forget-me-nots, dandelions and daisies, gorse in full bloom and king cups in a marshy field.
I watched sand martins flying beside the river and bees collecting pollen from the wayside flowers.
I heard a blackbird singing and a chiff-chaff calling.
They all brought me such joy. It was lovely to be out in nature.

I admired the river (that was my excuse for stopping for a breather 😁)

Me & spaniel walked round local lake, it was joyous. Halfway round there were a couple of proud Canada geese taking their 8 goslings out for a walk on the grass. A little further round, there were 5 mallard ducklings rooting arouond in the strem, under mum's watchful eye.
Only sinister note was Mr Heron on his tree at the far end - known not to be averse to a duckling, gosling or two.
I'm rooting for the little ones to make it through.

Strolled, or rather hobbled as my back is still pretty sore, around some local gardens. I was too achy to stand and take photos, my dh was pleased as he usually gets fed up waiting for me to catch up! But I couldn’t resist these tulips, although past their best they were a lovely splash of colour.
