Sunshine Emoticon

There's been talk of snowdrops and the approach of Spring, so I thought it would be lovely to have a Sunshine emoticon to banish the gloomy days and herald in spring.
A bit early, I know, but hopefully this will give the Gransnet 'techies' time to get one up and running. They'd be interested to know how many of you are interested.

Sunshine would be great.Maybe there should be other weather map type symbols too.
Someone else suggested 'hugs', which are being sent probably more than any other sentiment, although don't know what the image would be.

Sunshine and hugs would be great

sunshine, hugs - and perhaps a different one for thanks? We seem to use the flowers for when people need cheering up rather than thanking.

Thanks all - this is a great beginning. smile

Cari - can your 'techies' do a double-hander and get a hugs one up and running, too?

glassortwo Mon 09-Jan-12 19:32:40

Yes to everything grin

Seventimesfive Mon 09-Jan-12 21:03:24

Yes to both from me too grin

Notsogrand Mon 09-Jan-12 21:18:17

More yesses from me.

Judging by the romantic fantasies thread we should have a lust romance emoticon wink

We can just see Tech's face when we have to go and tell him we want two new emoticons tomorrow... confused

Really interesting to hear what everyone thinks of this though - do keep your opinions coming, and we'll see what we can manage smile

Sunshine and hugs , what a great combination.

Butternut Tue 10-Jan-12 06:44:21

JosieGransnet - Let's hope tech can do the sunshine and hugs emoticons - they are certainly looking popular! Fingers crossed.

Butternut Tue 10-Jan-12 06:45:51

They are a great combination, aren't they, sewsilver! I'm sure everyone enjoys a hug and a bit of sunshine sometimes. smile

JessM Tue 10-Jan-12 06:47:27

What does a hug look like... come on, help the teccies here...

Butternut Tue 10-Jan-12 06:59:32

Are you voting, Jess? grin - Bear hug maybe?

JessM Tue 10-Jan-12 07:35:37

I'm thinking. Yes a bear might do it and work as a little icon.

Annobel Tue 10-Jan-12 08:12:50

A teddy bear, please, rather than a grizzly...grin

bagitha Tue 10-Jan-12 08:30:39

Make that three you tell Tech about, josie – teddybear hugs, sunshine, and a new one for thanks because we use the flowers for empathy/sympathy.

Call him darling from us grin. That'll scare him into action!

kittylester Tue 10-Jan-12 08:58:23

If you call him "sweetie pie darling", do you think we could have a way to save something we want to post but have to stop typing because the phone rings, the dog is sick, we need to look something up? I know I get frustrated to come back to something I'v thought about posting only to find it's gone. thanks

bagitha Tue 10-Jan-12 09:03:26

Or you could try: How gallant are you feeling today, Tech?

Annika Tue 10-Jan-12 10:44:40

these all sound good to me grin

Butternut Tue 10-Jan-12 13:28:21

Just bumping...

jingl Tue 10-Jan-12 13:32:34

I don't mind. I think we've got really nice emoticons already. smile
