In a recent thread it was stated :-

"I am so tempted to ask "which bit of GRANS-net do you not understand.
But I know grandads seem to be welcome on here. (A policy I do not agree with)"

If members do not agree with this policy, why did they join ? The opening line of About Gransnet clearly states :-

"Gransnet® is the social networking site for grandparents. "

The description continues to talk about GrandMothers and GrandFathers.

If you haven't read it you will find it here :- www.gransnet.com/info/about

I have generally found most members welcome some male input, even they do not agree with it. Unless Gransnet® changes it's policy this site is for all grandparents, male, female, young and old and long may it be so.

Oh Annobel I've been on the "Earnslaw " too ...Christmas Day, for a super meal on the other side of the lake ...yes, wonderful scenery, but we were not allowed down into the engine room!
Then on Boxing Day ...an over-nighter on Doubtful Sound ...old three master!!

Jacey, we got off on the other side and met a lovely Highland bull called Duncan; saw a sheep shearing demonstration - blink and you'd miss it!; and had a a farmhouse tea. Maybe I smiled nicely at the engineer or maybe I just gatecrashed the engine room. Can't remember.

I posted this 3 months ago :-

If it help he understand the female mind it would be wonderful. - This mornings conversation -- me, do you fancy going out for lunch, Mrs. P, no I have already got something out and we can't afford to keep going out. Me, Ok, I'll get some stuff done in the garden. 30 min later --- I'm up to my armpits in potting compost, Mrs. P put her head into the greenhouse(all spruced up), I'm Ready !!!!!!!!. Women !!!!!

back to today's conversation :-

"me, do you fancy going out for lunch, Mrs. P, no I have got to do the housework. Me, Ok, I'll get some stuff done in the garden". 10 min later --- I'm sorting the greenhouse, Mrs. P puts her head into the greenhouse, OK you've persuaded me !!!!

Will I never learn.

A lovely insight into the female mind-space. I recognise myself in Mrs P. She sounds like a proper treasure, Pomps
