"If you do turn off cookies, parts of this site will not work, e.g. you won't be able to log in. "

[grin]

Oh. No big deal then. [grin]

No point beating about the bush [wink]

Bags Sat 26-May-12 08:59:48

Looks like they're having a strop about emoticons too! do you think we annoyed them with all our requests? [wink again]

j04 Sat 26-May-12 09:00:18

On that second post I clicked "accept" cookies" to see if that made the grin work. It didn't. [confused]

j04 Sat 26-May-12 09:00:49

Ooooh 'eck. They've totally buggered it up. [hmm]

Bags Sat 26-May-12 09:01:46

Bags - (whisper) I don't they're getting many adverts! [shock] That Mnet Academy thing's been on there a long time. Money's tight.

Bags Sat 26-May-12 09:08:12

do you find that Mnet Academy ad as annoying as I do? I had a look at the prospectus. Yes, well.

j04 Sat 26-May-12 09:12:45

:-) (diy emoticon)

It's a bit of a boring ad. I think they should filch some money from Munsnet. They must be raking it in over there.

whenim64 Sat 26-May-12 09:19:56

Oooh this is all a bit weird. Has anyone gone back to normal?

Oldgreymare Sat 26-May-12 09:25:07

I'm ignoring it and hoping it will go away! :(

Ella46 Sat 26-May-12 09:43:48

It's just the emos now, earlier nobody could post at all,(some of us were up really early today!) [smug emoticon]

I think it's all down to my name change! I've always been a trouble maker!

Bags Sat 26-May-12 09:53:23

It's a change in the law about what info sites you use can keep. don't know why they're called cookies. I wonder if mnet has had glitches as well? I get the feeling Gnet tech is run on a shoestring.

fieldwake Sat 26-May-12 09:56:07

If you click last hour and then click on tech stuff LAST HOUR there are some explanations from grsn good luck in place of emoc

fieldwake Sat 26-May-12 09:57:01

Sorry if you click on last day then tech stuff LAST HOUR (bold) ...........

Jacey Sat 26-May-12 09:57:16

Cari said that the emoticons were already queued along the river to see the Queen ...but isn't that next Sunday?? [ho! ho!] emoticon

fieldwake Sat 26-May-12 10:07:32

Oh dear is Cari a grannie? perhaps too old to deal with all this stuff!

Elegran Sat 26-May-12 10:29:26

She did say they would be back once they had bagged their pitch. Maybe they think the coats will stay in place for the week. Trusting wee things, aren't they?

gracesmum Sat 26-May-12 10:32:22

All emoticons out sunbathing and not at their desks perhaps? :-) = [grin]

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sat 26-May-12 10:33:37

We have towels and sunbeds and we are getting them in place...We have also employed a security guard (we trust no one : ))

Yes - the cookies law change seems to have brought with it a glitch or two but tech are onto it. Do let us know if there are any other problems.
