Is it the one in red that appears on 'I'm On'? I didn't know we are policed by Mumsnet or have I got it wrong?

Yes. When you go to 'threads I'm on'. Says something about "because, let's face it, it turned into something of a bun fight"!

I bet it was nothing compared to some of the Mumsnet threads...

Oh yes! It's by Mumsnet HQ!

It suddenly said 'New Message' and gave me the message box. Then if you go to the Active Forums, it wasn't there any longer.

I did try and stay well clear of that thread , j08 as I didn't want to say anything that might be taken down as evidence and used against me !

I guess it's just a Mumsnet thing that they don't usually use to us more respectable elder ladies.

That message (referring to a bunfight) was on that thread yesterday, (and possibly even the day before?) I thought you meant a new message.

It was the thread that was deleted about an hour ago.

There are two with the same message. In my 'I'm on'.

I am at a total b----y loss with all of this 'going's on'.

I put a thread up, yesterday. asking where a thread had gone, now that's gone.

For goodness sake HQ. Is it so difficult to leave the name of a thread in situ and simply put your message on, DELETED. [suggestion emoticon]. It will be clear to us all you think the thread has issues and we will understand that. You are creating an atmosphere of who did what to whom, where there probably isn't an issue to most of us GN's reading the post. It also makes you feel is it worth contributing if this keeps happening.

Also I was looking for this thread and for the first time I thought I would look and see if I could work out how to retrace threads. Never have known how to 'bump' or whatever it's called. I put the name of the thread in the SEARCH box. What is all that about????. I have never read all that stuff in there and I didn't know what it was, how does it get there and how do you reply to people you have never heard of.

N ot all of us are computer literate please can someone tell me what the SEARCH box in the top right corner is for and does.

By the way I have never pressed ' I'm on' before. Now I have to spend time working that out.

POGS There's not much to work out. Click on "I'm on" and up will come a lost of the threads where you have posted.

a list not a lost – although I suppose deleted threads are lost. Forget it.

ok then, tell us what the message says.

The one deleted today, which POGS started ('What happened to the 'Goodbye' thread' or similar) is the one with the bunfight message. The 'Goodbye' thread just says 'Deleted' (it's further down the list).

I think there is another one Ana asking what happened to thread that was asking what happened.
