here

Galen Sun 07-Apr-13 14:02:11

And she's wearing pearls!grin

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 14:04:28

That's probably wallpaper, jingl.

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 14:05:09

Unless she's in a forest....

absent Sun 07-Apr-13 14:23:41

Galen She's wearing beads not pearls. Shame on you – of all people. smile

Galen Sun 07-Apr-13 14:40:00

Ah when I blow the photo up I can see that.
I do sometimes wear multiple strings of pearls though. I have about 9lengths of small cheap ones that you can twist to make a choker or just wear loose. They are interspersed with the odd jagged crystal which makes them sparkle

I have flipped the lady horizontally but it doesn't seem to make any improvement to the wall paper.
On my profile pics. I have probably now infringed someones copyright!

How to publicise the GN image? I think the time has come for the Gransnet Calendar. I see Galen with her wonderful silvery hair as January, Phoenix rising from the ashes as February. Gally would be good as March and somehow Bags suggests April. We seem to have lost Mey so maybe Mishap if she can gaurantee to stay on her feet grin Kitty would kick off the Summer as June and j08 would be our alliterative July. August has more than one meaning so maybe Elegran? September is glorious in Scotland so I am suggesting Soop and Tegan can be October (if whichever racing season it is, permits) Can't leave JessM out so you are November and for December? Why Father Christmas himself, otherwise known as Frank.
Apologies to those I have missed out - once you have finished breathing a sigh of relief, you can get cross at the omission. Personally I would be glad not to necessitate the "bigger buns" of the film!grin

Gally Sun 07-Apr-13 15:52:17

I've looked at it again ; I think she's my Aunty Marjorie - she's nearly 98 and lives near Brighton.
I've got wall paper like that in my hall wink

Elegran Sun 07-Apr-13 15:56:03

Can we wear green and purple scarves, strategically draped?

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 15:58:59

You do realise, Nellie, that everyone looking at your profile photos from now on will think that's you....grin

Elegran Sun 07-Apr-13 16:05:07

Can we start a new thread? The title of this one gives no hint of the real subject - the image of over 50's that the media seem to have. Lots of people on here have opinions, I am sure, but the thread title does not grab them.

janeainsworth Sun 07-Apr-13 16:18:51

I assumed the person in the DT article was frank grin
Only joking grin

Galen Sun 07-Apr-13 16:21:44

*Me
Lie,* you've reversed it! She's now R handed.
Gracesm I don't fancy doing winter in the cold unless I can be draped in ermine!

Galen Sun 07-Apr-13 16:22:43

Should be Nelliemoser !

Galen Sun 07-Apr-13 16:23:26

Oh you said that!blush

Nelliemoser Sun 07-Apr-13 18:45:18

Oh bloodhell Ana I will delete it forthwith. grin
That is not me sucking my toe either!

j08 Sun 07-Apr-13 18:56:04

Sweet baba though. smile

Elegran Sun 07-Apr-13 20:07:09

Marelli Just read back - what do you mean "Ah - Elegran, might have known!" ? What might you have known? Should I be taking offence here and stomping off?

Bags Sun 07-Apr-13 20:18:21

I knew a girl at school called Frankie. She was a brilliant debater – won the Observer Mace – and also a good actor.

I sometimes think Frank is acting a part....

Bags Sun 07-Apr-13 20:19:28

But then, perhaps we all are! wink

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 20:29:20

Elegran I'm sure Marelli was only acknowledging your explanation of how the photo was chosen - that's how I read it, anyway! smile

j08 Sun 07-Apr-13 21:02:01

No one could be more natural than Frank!

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 21:18:16

Agreed - he's a natural!

Elegran Sun 07-Apr-13 21:20:18

So did I Ana, just trying to get Marelli worried!

Ana Sun 07-Apr-13 21:22:36

Oh - sorry! grin
