...Homecraft.

Where we can discuss all the small, but oh-so-important, things involved in keeping our homes running in a ship shape and Bristol fashion.

I agree that there is a lot to be said for a little boredom bags so long as the mind is allowed to roam free. I think a little boredom is great for kids too. smile

Whether this is a spoof thread or not - my new pans arrived and they are AWESOME! tchsmile

jinglbellrocks Tue 17-Dec-13 15:36:50

It's not a spoof thread. Please describe your new pans.

rockgran Tue 17-Dec-13 15:50:12

I'm not sure I trust you Jingle tchwink but I have just made pancakes with no oil - the pans are totally non-stick. AWESOME!!!!

Flowerofthewest Tue 17-Dec-13 15:52:36

My lovely yellow and cream ceramic 'frying' pan is wonderful for cooking omelettes.

jinglbellrocks Tue 17-Dec-13 16:57:24

I made pancakes today too! tchsmile

jinglbellrocks Tue 17-Dec-13 16:59:36

Flower, could you find a link to one of those do you think? I'm not sure I've come across one.

Soutra Tue 17-Dec-13 17:03:10

I think we should have a thread which is a bit like white noise (if that is the right term) One with no words - just maybe a nice picture or two, I am quite fond of kittens and puppies oh and lambs in a field. And then becasue there would be no words nobody would ever get cross and when life was getting just a little bit tense or stressful, we could look at the lovely pictures and ust feel better.tchsmile

jinglbellrocks Tue 17-Dec-13 17:05:40

oh yes!

I might ask for one of those for Xmas.

jinglbellrocks Tue 17-Dec-13 17:07:40

I think words are more calming than pictures.

I like "white noise" threads. (very good description) tchsmile

annodomini Tue 17-Dec-13 17:15:04

An original notion, Soutra. Worth considering!

Nonu Tue 17-Dec-13 17:19:22

Ana Tue 17-Dec-13 17:25:47

That frying pan sounds really good! I might one as well!

Nonu, I'm not sure I can afford the postage at the moment. All those sheets and tablecloths, not to mention DH's smalls...tchwink

Ana Tue 17-Dec-13 17:26:14

(should have been 'ask for one as well')

Lona Tue 17-Dec-13 17:27:57

I was just amending my Ocado Xmas order and there's a flash sale of West Country boned whole leg of lamb half-price .... £11 instead of £22.

Thought I'd let my fellow homecrafters know! tchsmile

Lamb

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 11:27:55

I've had that joint before. It's lovely. Almost wish I hadn't booked a table at a pizza joint for Sunday now. Got to please the kids though. And don't want to pre empt Xmas roast dinner. Freezer stuffed full of pasty! tchhmm

jinglbellrocks Wed 18-Dec-13 11:28:35

PastRy!!!

Riverwalk Wed 18-Dec-13 11:51:34

As you seem to be such a domestic goddess I wasn't surprised at your freezer fully of pasty.

tchhmm it's years since I ate a pasty!

Lona Wed 18-Dec-13 14:23:08

My local Sainsburys have a half price sale on full legs of lamb at the moment. They seem to do it before Christmas every year. None left now 'cos I bought them all!

There were only two left! tchsmile

Nonu Wed 18-Dec-13 14:32:29

You are like the woman in Morrison"s the other day Lona , they had reduced their haddock so I picked one up to look and she just up all the rest. I thought better of saying " Oi you I was going to have them "
What I have to put with is no-body's business !!
LOL

whenim64 Wed 18-Dec-13 14:53:38

I've ordered the Ocado Lamb, too. They've got a Smart Pass offer for free deliveries for three months at the moment. No strings, no need to cancel at the end. With offers, it works out the same or less than Tesco.

Lona Wed 18-Dec-13 16:06:41

It's ok Nonu, I think everyone else had already bought theirs, which is why only 2 were left smile

ninathenana Thu 19-Dec-13 07:10:24

Tesco have legs of lamb half price at the moment. There is a maximum of 2 per customer rule.
I want some for NY day but no room in freezer tchangry
