Why....?!

Why does Gransnet have to be simply a "soft place to fall"? (to quote some idiot song)

Surely we are all big people and know enough to expect differing views when we post our problems on an open forum? It seems to me that the most innocuous, slightly disagreeing with the main trend, views are being stamped on at the moment.

I know the stock answer from HQ is "we are here to make people's lives easier", but I find that patronising.

<sticks oar in> Won't go over all the stuff again but we would much rather NOT delete posts and only do so when they break our forum guidelines. And heavens forbid it should simply be a "soft place to fall". Of course it's important that anyone seeking support or advice can find it here - but it's just as important that aside from that people can talk about whatever they fancy and have a laugh. We are all grown ups after all.

(And jings - not all of GNHQ is a different generation smile #lotsandlotsofmembersyoungerthanme )
