Pound signs and others

Yes, me too - I was gettingr question marks yesterday when I tried to use a foreign word with an accented a.

Yes, it's suddenly gone bonkers. It now won't print n-dashes (hyphens) and puts ??. Very helpful!

And it's happening across all my devices.

I don't seem to be having any trouble. My ?? signs are fine, as are the other symbols. I am using my hudl which has just recently updated itself though. Surprisingly the battery life indicator has started functioning again, I hope it carries on.??

By the way I only typed one question mark!?

Well my Hudl is turning pound signs into question marks!
????????????= pounds
???????= question marks.

No problems here - I have pound signs, here are one or two, ???????? or would you like a question mark?

This is a fairly new Asus 8.1 computer- the only good thing that I have said about it I think.

But the post I did on desktop has appeared wrong on mini iPad. It appeared ok on desktop.

Nooo!!!! It is a gremlin messing with things. Really funny!!!

I think it may be a problem that only happens on small screen devices. When I type the signs on desktop, they look fine on desktop. But on small screen they have come out wrong.
