GNHQ. Is it possible to attract some male company on GN.
GN logo doesn't jump out as male domain so perhaps a bit of advertising would help
May be local radio??

What about asking on mumsnet (if you dare) if any of the mum's fathers grandfathers' uncles etc would interested in joining.

Any other Gnetters have any ideas on drumming up some male/netters.

No-one has reported all the comments about grans watching the male talent, so I never did see what was so reprehensible in telling us that while Mrs P was busy you watched the female talent. A healthy interest is built into us all and laughing at/with ourselves for it is healthy.

I DO (and did) object to one or two men who joined and clearly saw the female members of this site as a chance to make lubricious remarks and leer at us - and on some occasions to send offensive private messages to selected people.

We need the ability to distinguish the sex pests from the normal blokes by the content and tone of what they write - as we also need it to distinguish the various personalities of all posters by what and how they post. If we haven't developed that by our age and know who to respond to and who to avoid, heaven help us.

Mumsnet is open to dads.

Elegran, I do agree with all your points, but would add that the have been females here that will take any chance they get to criticise men.

Distinguishing between pests (of either sex) can take a while as it is so difficult to judge the intent of remarks.

I'm not a granny (Yet-I live in hope )Does this mean I shouldn't be on here ?I assumed it meant it was a forum for those of more nature years?
I am on Mumsnet too but don't find that many 50 plus people on there

very true but from what Ive read on mumsnet the dads are well out of it!

I have suggested that we should be able to see the date someone has joined and perhaps how many posts they have made so that it is easier to spot anyone who comes here for a windup or worse.

cant see the point in that Tizliz as theres already old posters that do that!

GandTea Sat 18-Jun-16 12:20:35

Come on GNHQ let's have your view

sunseeker Sat 18-Jun-16 12:46:51

When I first joined my membership was questioned by some because I don't have grandchildren - but I stayed and find the majority are friendly and helpful. I didn't see your post about watching the girls but lets face it I bet a lot of the grans on here often sit with their coffee and look at young men! I know I do (hey - I'm old not dead!). grin
