For me 'caring and sharing' springs to mind, as that's what I've found Gransnet to be.

Riverwalk what great idea, the logo looks very Russian, not that there's anything wrong with that but I don't think it says who we are.

As for the logo, what about something along the lines of Caroline Aherne's Mrs Merton. Acid and wit in a smart combination.

I think you need to keep it short, with no frilly bits. And no claims leading to, sometimes, false expectations. Humour is essential.
