Ixion - I know how to do it on the mobile site
Where it says 'forums - games' or whatever - click on 'games' and your options will open.
Click on 'customise' and then scroll down.
Your hidden threads should be listed and then you can unhide them

As I said, I couldn't see your response of 09.47 yesterday until I caught it appearing on 'Trending' as it was nowhere else to be seen?.
I then spent the rest of the evening investigating and experimenting as per your instructions and am now thrilled to say that I am pitch perfect!

It's clunky and frustrating to have to switch to the mobile site to do all that, but the good side is that you can click on any old thread to bring up the 'customise' option and all your previously 'hiddens' (mostly games for me and a couple of 'irksome' -to me!- threads) are displayed. You don't have to try to remember which forum the hidden thread might be in!

This has been a tremendous help and removes so much frustration for me.

So how come as fast as I hide the games threads on the mobile ( as discussed previously) the next day they are back again
I ve Lilibet on my active list but I expect the other royal one has fallen off the top 50 threads

I couldn't find it on my laptop so went to my history looked at yesterday and found it that way so it's still there

We thought it was us. CH (IT consultant) says there is no way I can hide these pesky games and that the site has perhaps not been tested across all platforms.

Chestnut I looked on the computer site (see what I do for you!) and no, I couldn't see a way either.
I do much prefer the mobile site - far fewer ads to start with

Fanny, it doesn't make sense if you're on a computer. I wonder if I accessed the site on a mobile and made the changes whether they would then show up on the computer? It seems the mobile site has features which are not available on a computer.

Having responded above, I cannot now add this to my watch list since I accessed the (hidden) thread via the trending list.

I have made the point before that, having chosen to 'hide' a thread, I can't ever access it again.

For example, I hid this thread yesterday.
It no longer appears on any of the following - active, last hour, last day, forums.

The only way I could re-join this thread, it seems, is by either+
*waiting for it to emerge under 'trending' (as now)
*contributing before I hide
*add to watch list before I hide.

Otherwise it is lost, to me, for perpetuity.
Can Soniagransnet please advise?

This happened to me recently, too. I think I posted about it. I double-checked the time I had posted and the time of the last post on the thread at the bottom of the Active list and although I had posted far more recently, it definitely did not appear.

I found it in "I'm on".

Only when I posted a second time did it appear in "Active".

But I was posting in the Royal Chat thread and it was definitely not showing up in Active or Trending when it should have been at the top of the list (as in the having the most recent post on it)

Something was definitely 'going on'

I thought maybe they’d been banned and censored by MI6 as anti government or something!

They are back on the active thread now.

Both threads are back on full show now. Strange

Thanks. It must come up differently depending which device you're using. I'm on the pc and there's nothing like that. Heaven knows why, and given GN reluctance to investigate or change anything tech-related, it will probably remain a mystery.

To Hide a thread click on the v in the red circle, top right corner of the page. Select hide this thread.

Can't see a v in a red circle anywhere... I would love to hide the wretched Games threads..
