I popped out to give the dog a quick walk and when I returned it was gone.

I didn’t see the thread my only thought was it depends on how the title/opening paragraph was phrased ?

dragonfly46 Fri 12-Nov-21 08:31:16

Maybe you should try posting it again Merlot or maybe not as it may get you a lifetime ban like other posters!

dragonfly46 Fri 12-Nov-21 08:29:33

Urmston ???

MerylStreep Fri 12-Nov-21 08:28:14

Maudi
We don’t have to think about it. They have told us many times that they rely on posters to report.

Urmstongran Fri 12-Nov-21 08:16:47

Agree dragonfly.
Maybe it’s one of the bullies who likes to press the report button. We will never know.

‘Pearl clutchers’ ... that made me laugh! Thank you.

Urmstongran Fri 12-Nov-21 08:14:40

In today’s Telegraph.

dragonfly46 Fri 12-Nov-21 08:07:10

I am astonished that HQ allow name-calling and ganging up on other posters to stand and yet delete a post, before it has got started, on a public figure!
Does it depend on who is on duty at the time?

merlotgran Fri 12-Nov-21 08:04:12

They rely on posters hitting the report button.

Pearl Clutchers’ paradise.

Maudi Fri 12-Nov-21 07:42:45

Do you think GN look at the forums on a regular basis to check them or do you think they rely on posters to report?

Esspee Fri 12-Nov-21 07:22:27

Bumping to keep active. I didn't see the thread but am now really curious as to why it was deleted, rather than individual member's comments.
I once had a thread deleted and it still angers me though by now I have forgotten the subject.

Namsnanny Thu 11-Nov-21 21:08:42

Does that apply to Grannies too? grin

Hetty58 Thu 11-Nov-21 19:36:36

I'm all in favour of any posts with anti-vax views being deleted - and promptly.

I forgot, from the horses mouth.

Oh no! Too much information.

JaneJudge Thu 11-Nov-21 18:40:39

Meghan must know that Big Macs are the best constipation cure, sorry I mean you must know Galaxy.....wink

That is precisely it. The thread was deleted so it is impossible to see exactly what was said. It may well have been worth discussing.
The statement referring to Harry's mental health issues:
And blame his wife for causing them?
Is that OK? (clue - no its not)
precludes any sort of discussion because the poster, with no authority whatsoever, has decided it is inappropriate.

Just a general comment. If a thread includes speculation of this kind presented as fact, who can be surprised if it gets deleted? A poster isn't surprised. A poster is quite surprised anyone thinks otherwise.

A poster doesn't have the power you think she does.

A poster feels like a character in GoT. ??

Urmstongran Thu 11-Nov-21 18:11:30

Galaxy

I think that was me. We look very similar.

Best comment of the day Galaxy!

Shall we have the "opinions versus fact" chat again grin.

Some opinions are bizarre but do no harm.

Some opinions contribute to a concerted hate campaign about people who have no impact whatsoever on the lives of anybody on this forum.

They are the worrying ones. IMO. But anyone is free to disagree wink

Yes, let’s

Unless it’s the “my opinions are facts and yours are not” one though lol

Well I’ve just come in after visiting my elderly mum in her care home and popping into a local supermarket on the way back. What surprises me is that this thread is still here grin

Iam64 Thu 11-Nov-21 17:22:27

I’ve been on grannie duty so even less able to keep up on here than usual

Curlywhirly Thu 11-Nov-21 17:18:59

BlueBelle

Go to work for the morning and miss everything
Ah well now I ll never know who did what who said what or why

Me too BlueBelle - I was out this morning, so missed all the excitement (as per usual for me!). So I have no idea who the supposed paedophile is and what's been said about Meghan Markle (though after seeing the lunchtime News I can well imagine).

Alegrias1 Thu 11-Nov-21 17:15:39

Things spoken about on this thread that have nothing to do with the topic in hand:
Anti vaxxers. Whether the Queen is too old for the job. Whether people are paid to defend MM.

But yes, by all means question my talking about H’s mental health.
