Yes, it’s absolutely horrendous.
These were urban foxes, and I reckon their diet isn’t conducive to a healthy digestive system.

I don’t get why dogs do that.

We live in the country and I can assure people that country fox poo is just as unpleasant as urban fox poo when your dog has rolled in it...

There was a fox around here which used to think our front garden was the best place for a loo. He'd visit nightly.

So - some poos are horrible, other poos we put on the vegetable garden.

We have a permanent fox who has made his home in our garden. He acts more like a dog than a fox, following me around the garden then lies down until I have finished various garden tasks. He has somehow lost most of his tail and goes by the moniker, Stumpy. He is gorgeous.

My dogs loved rolling in that and…cow pats! This also stinks to high heaven.

We used to have foxes who were good friends with our cat.
When I put out food for the foxes in the field at the bottom of garden, the cat would guard the food for them, and stop the magpies from eating it.

That sounds wonderful Kalu you're very lucky and I must admit I'm a little envious.

Our toy poodle loves rolling in fox poo and it made a friend laugh when I explained it's the 'wolf' instinct; masking their own scent from potential prey.

I think it was trying to imagine our perfectly groomed, white little poodle being a descendent that she found so amusing.

The problem in Australia is that foxes, camels and rabbits weren't native species. Along with other types of animals introduced relatively recently, these have caused problems with indigenous species and with the eco system in general, rather like the grey squirrel and edible dormouse in the UK.

Our local fox used to trot across the lawn at night and pause, look at me through the window then carry on.

Presumably to do a poo just out of my sight 🦊

When I first started there was a group of very unwelcoming people who made catty comments when I tried to start a new thread ( I was keen and full of ideas then!)

That happened to me too, nanna8.

It is upsetting, particularly if you join, as I did, when I'd just lost a very dear friend. It wasn't a group, just one person who obviously disagreed with anything I posted.
I left but thought that I don't care as I don't know these people so I returned.

It's quite ironic when I think of it.

I like to see foxes. We have one who travels down just outside our back garden then over the front lawn to the fields. We see his paw prints when it snows, like now.
When I had garden hens, I had the mesh dug over a foot down to stop foxes getting into the hens.
All my dogs find rolling in fox poo the next best thing to swimming. I keep fox poo shampoo in - nothing else really gets the smell awsy.

I think a fox tried to get into the run and cage of our guinea pig and it died of fright

Spaniels love anything stinky, Iam64.
Ours would head for the nearest cowpat or filthy puddle.
