Does GN ever answer on any of the threads on the Site Stuff Topic?
I dont read all of the threads. But on the ones I have read, I dont think I have seen any response.
I have been here since the beginning of ths year.

No, they don't read the threads under "Site stuff". The only way to get their attention is by reporting a post. The forum heading "Site Stuff" is misleading as it sounds like a direct line to the web admin. Dream on!
I really don't know what they do all day. I suspect they spend most of their time working on the various sections of the site with cooking, beauty and grandparenting topics, which nobody reads.
I am sure I am not the only one for whom Gransnet is solely about the forums and the conversations. The site Administrators seem to consider the conversations an annoying sideline. They should have people monitoring the conversations continually. (A) it would provide them with topics that might actually interest their members and attract them to reading the articles that they spend so much time on and (b) they might find out what is wrong with the site.
Ironically, there have sporadically been questions thrown out by GNHQ, asking us what we would like to have changed or implemented, but nothing has ever come if it.
The regular requests include
- edit function
- "Like" button
- OP posts coloured green like the initial OP post
- @ function to work (at least they have removed the line at the bottom of the message box which says how this is supposed to work)
- Active conversation list to display the most recent activity in the proper order
- the daily newsletter to include the current topics and not those being discussed three days ago (I have unsubscribed, it is useless)
- return of the book of the month
(I do not necessarily personally endorse all of these, but some reaction or interim report from GNHQ would be nice now and again)
The site seems to generally have deteriorated and there is little outside involvement nowadays. What happened to the competitions? (Not that that interested me because it's only applicable to UK residents)
When was the last time we had an online we chat where we could post questions for an expert to answer?
