Video advert placed right over the writing part of each post

Something similar happened to me earlier.I couldn't come out of GN, the top of the page had disappeared. I tried reducing the size of the screen, all to no avail. I ended up using Control, Alt Delete function to get into Task Manager and shut down the programme.

I keep getting a big red square, I’ve emailed it in.

There seem to be quite a few site problems at the moment, maybe GN is running out of steam.

It’s OK Jaxjacky. We seem to have the same problem. Not sure whether to blame my iPad or not.

I was getting this but hopefully it’s stopped now.

I get it and a Jet2 add blocking the posts. Only on GN. And I have never visited the Jet2 website.

It’s okay, Gransnet are already looking into this issue as a result of the other thread - here’s the link. Clearing bruising history didn’t work for me either.

Could it be anything to do with the broswer. I use Chrome.

I use Chrome too. The problem only arises when I use GN so I’m tempted to think the problem is at their end.

on MN i find it really annoying that the higher page numbers disappear under adverts.
to continue reading long threads i have to minimise the zoom and try to get them to emerge out from under the adverts.
doesn't always work.
then maximise it again to read comfortably.
for every page. often don't bother.
old system worked fine, with options to click on next page, also first and last page, as well as the page numbers.

I use Safari and get the Jet2 advert blocking the screen. I have cleared everything including cookies but it comes back. I have reported it and sent in a screen shot!

GSM, it's a mystery, because I am not getting it with Chrome.

I’m a fairly patient person. I can (reluctantly) live with it if I have to. A real first world problem!

It's still happening just on gransnet

I have realised that I only use the desktop site, (prefer the layout) whether I am on my PC, tablet or mobile and I am not getting those pop ups.

Are you all using the mobile site? (I noticed Miss A was on the mobile site)
